Pat Robertson accused of damaging movement he helped create
By SONJA BARISIC
ASSOCIATED PRESS

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 18 — Fellow conservative religious leaders have expressed concern and even open criticism over Pat Robertson's habit of shooting from the hip on his daily religious news-and-talk television program, ''The 700 Club.''
<snip>
''He is in a very visible leadership position and comments such as recent ones related to Mr. Sharon and so many others are misinformed and presumptuous and border on arrogance,'' said David Dockery, president of Union University, a private college affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
Dockery suggested Robertson might want to consult other theologians ''before making these pronouncements so quickly.''

5. Border on arrogance?
I'd say they probably border on mental illness or some sort of dementia. He's way past his sell-by date. Wonder how long it will be before someone stages a takeover of his enterprise???

Calling that buffoon a theologian is using the word rather loosely, as well!

7. To everything there is a season
and that which is not real will eventually fade and die. It is interesting that these other ministers feel to have a problem with the timing of his announcements. I'm wondering if they feel they are not in line with Jesus' teachings or whether they have more a problem with how and when they are stated.

8. What he's done for me........
is wonder whether I am still a Christian, if he's any example. Makes me ashamed of the faith.
