CNN - Deal between WH and Republican Senators to stop an

investigation of the NSA domestic spying. Roberts made the "Agreement" with the WH.

Includes an agreement to 1. make this program legislatively OK; and 2. more briefings for Congress.

Well, yippy. Everything is OK now.

It is the Intelligence Committee.

2. I knew this would happen.
In the end, Bush will just get more power handed to him with no accountability. Republican senators are traitors - instead of doing their jobs as they've sworn to do - they're lapdogs for the WH. Disgusting.

5. So they break the law and get away with it
Well I guess they didn't break the law after all. Hopefully the Democrats step up and filibuster any bill that makes this legal, but then again, they must keep their powder dry!!!!!

6. And the ignorant lemmings
will cheer. We don't need no stinking investigation. bush is a good christian just like Senator Roberts. Fuck a bunch of pansy democrats and their whining about the constitution. Besides the president says the constitution is just a fucking piece of paper. And so what if any law changes now won't make the evil right back then. Let us wave our flag and show off our magnets, we are fucking "conservatives" and we won.

9. The investigation of NSA spying program should NOT become
a political issue.

What is wrong with these people?

Why are the Republicans doing nothing other than carrying water for this administration?

Politics should not be a part of this. That is short-sighted and dangerous for our country!

As a mother (and hopefully, one day, a grandmother), I am truly concerned about the country we are leaving to future generations.

Because if all was as it should be, the inevitability of a Dem President having all this power one day SHOULD be making these bastards think twice....
