Kansas Dog Trainer May Have helped in prison escape
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 11:44 AM by leftyladyfrommo
This story makes me absolutely ill.

The group of people volunteering were the Safe Harbor people who took rescue dogs and partnered them with prisoners. The prisoners then trained the dogs so that they could be placed.

It was a wonderful program - and did so much good for both the dogs and the prisoners who worked with them.

Then this morning it was in the news that the head of the program might have helped a murderer escape. I guess she cannot located and neither can the prisoner. And I don't think it looks like she was kidnapped.

How could someone put such a valuable resource in jeopardy. Now prisons everywhere are going to look at such programs with suspicion.

This whole thing just sucks.
