This might be good. Dave likes to hold the RWers feet to the fire. Limbaugh was on once and only once, probably won't be back. Dave made him look like a fool.

1. I hope he tears him to shreds, and doesn't just politely kiss his ass
I'l like to have seen how Letterman treated Limbaugh...

That would have been funny

4. Letterman to Limbaugh: Do you ever wake up in the morning..
...and say 'God, I'm just a tub of hot gas?"
That's not verbatim but it's very close to it.
The audience went nuts and Limbaugh was on his heels the rest of the night.
It was like Ali breaking Sonny Liston's nose.
Limbaugh, it was widely said thereafter, would never again appear anywhere he did not control EVERYTHING.
So you never see him outside the friendly confines of his own little hell-on-earth studio...

13. sorry but I have not seen it archived....
...and now that I think of it Letterman's question ended with 'God, I'm just full of hot gas."
slight change but in the interest of 100 percent accuracy...

5. Letterman is a great political interviewer
who knows how to soften a guest up and then pitch hardball. He's one of the best we have left.

The only reason he gets the occasional political guest on his show is that they don't watch him enough to realize this and dismiss him as a late night goof who does things like the stupid pet tricks. They're generally in for a big shock when they realize what they let themselves in for.

Letterman's interviews make me realize just how BAD all the official alternatives out there are.

6. I'd love to see Dave interview Annthrax.

He/she/it would have a breakdown right there on stage.

7. Dave Skewers Slowly...And Never Shoots Down
Methinks Dave needs some laughs and that's why Loofa boy is getting on. Dave will give O'Reilly the rope and then slowly twist it around his neck while O'Reilly has no clue...then by the time O'Reilly figures he's been roped, he's being swung from the chandeliers. Jon Stewart is also very good at doing this.

Get the  Dave will be ready to play this to the hilt!

Hopefully, Dave gets O'Reilly to unload on Olbermann. Or maybe on Dave's good friend, Al Franken. Or how about if he blows a gasket about some "Hollywood Pinhead"...the moment that happens, the fun begins. It gives Dave the justification to bring Al on a couple of times to rebut (and Dave will) as well as probably inviting Olbermann on (which I think would be a hoot).

Plus be assured this stuff will fuel material for TDS that goes back into production on Thursday, as does the Colbert Report and then onto the websites. O'Reilly hopes he gets a good shot or two off that he can bring back to his coven to show how he's "stood up" to the liberals, while the rest of us get a good laugh at his expense. He's hoping there's a curious few that will pop over to his little TV treehouse the next couple nights to see how he rebuts his appearance. It's what O'Reilly's done on past appearance on Letterman and Daily Show.

Again, hopefully O'Reilly takes on Olbermann...think of the great PR value that would be for Keith to get a bunch of exposure to an audience that might not be familiar with this controversy. This could do for Keith what O'Reilly's silly lawsuit did for Al Franken...get more viewers for Countdown.

9. Answer my dreams, Dave
I'm still waiting for someone to interupt
O'Liely and tell him to shut up. I was
so disappointed that Jon Stewart didn't
when it was served up so nicely.

I can't stand that pious jerk Blo'Reilly.

I hope Letterman eats him alive.

11. I bet O'Lielly chickens out
Someone will warn him about what Letterman may do to him and he'll run for the hills. On the other hand, if he doesn't chicken out and Dave skewers him as only Dave can, I may be forced to watch O'Lielly's show tomorrow just to see how he deals with his most recent humiliation.

16. Dave's jabs are subtle but they hit the mark.
It'll be great to watch.

Plus, I think Al Franken (O'Lielly's arch enemy) is a good friend of Dave's.

18. What will be amusing to watch
is how desperately Bill will try to play to the audience. I've seen him twice on The Daily Show and he was like the nerdiest kid in school who's trying to impress the homecoming queen.
On TDS, he kept making pot references. It was fun, and kinda excruciating, to watch him be so ingratiating and obsequious. He has such a mad crush on Jon Stewart. He wants to be Jon Stewart. (or George Clooney).
