24 yr old NASA kid helping to silence global warming - LIAR
"Through my own investigations I have just discovered that George Deutsch, the Bush political appointee at the heart of administration efforts to censor NASA scientists (most notably to prevent James Hansen from speaking out about global warming), did not actually graduate from Texas A&M University. This should come as a surprise, since the media has implied otherwise, with even The New York Times describing the 24-year-old NASA public affairs officer, as “a 2003 journalism graduate of Texas A&M.” Although Deutsch did attend Texas A&M University, where he majored in journalism and was scheduled to graduate in 2003, he left in 2004 without a degree, a revelation that I was tipped off to by one of his former coworkers at A&M's student newspaper The Battalion. I later confirmed this discovery through the records department of the Texas A&M University Association of Former Students."

I'm sorry but this further solidifies my beliefs that all republicans are charlatans.

6. Average folk may not even know why they are republicans - I speak
of those in power who know exactly what they are about and know they have the power to materialize their perversions.

I ask my average folk republican friends/family why they vote that way and they never can give me a solid answer. When you take political terms out of the conversation including talking points, their core beliefs align very much with the dems. They've been swindled into labeling themselves republicans, plain and simple.

10. Not that you asked...
but here's my take on why everyday folks vote Republican.

I think they are just cockeyed optimists who want to believe that everything is just fine and we're all safe. They want to believe, the GOP tells them all is well, and it's a match made in heaven. Or that other place. That I don't believe in. Because I'm a moderate Christian and not a fundamentalist.

11. I'm also a Christian but I will never forfiet my mind to someone else.
For those folks you've described, I agree it is much easier for them not to think. I fault those in power who shamelessly seize people's faith for their own opportunistic means. It works for them every time.

How fortunate for leaders that men do not think.

12. I teach gifted kids
with IQ's over 140 and I can tell you they are WAY less happy than the average kids I have taught in the past, and doubly less happy than the Down's syndrome kids I have taught. There is a freedom in not thinking and a decent, responsible politician is one that will not take advantage of people who have little time, interest or energy for politics.

I won't criticize the happy folks, though. It's just who they are.

8. So a 24 year old who went to Texas AM in journalism gets .....

.... to help formulate the American position on global warming?

Kinda like sending a bunch of 20 somethings who applied at the Heritage Institute to help
run post war Iraq. One of whom was Elizabeth Cheney, who had no experience or real
knowledge about Iraq. The first leader there, General Turner complained and was fired.

The message is get on point with the bush crime family and if you are lucky you will make
big money and pretend that you are important.

Impeachment reason 214
