6. Alan Shore is ripping apart the facade

of the "we haven't been attacked since 9-11" mythology. The 400 "terrorists" Homeland Security has bragged about snaring have quietly had lesser charges, such as expired Visas and fraud, leveled after the bragging headlines. Quite an interesting synopsis of a complex subject, as usual. This show is so well written.

In previous years Denise had parts in court - actually doing what she is supposed to be doing.

Now she has turned into a cartoon with only sex scenes.

The actor really should complain.

11. And at the end, Denny still thinks that Homeland

Security is right. Yes, we all need to sacrifice, he says. Clearly, if someone else was on the no fly list, he would have no problem with this.

This is why the program is so great.

And, let's not forget the other trial - Shirley Schmitt closing arguments about the responsibilities that we keep piling on our teachers while, of course, not raising their salaries and how good large the turn over is for teachers.

I really liked Alan's closing when he was addressing the government's claim about not being able to find the technology to make the no-fly list more accurate.

"We have visionaries in this country. Steve Jobs... Steven Wozniak... Steve Ballmer. Why don't we just recruit all the best Steves?"

Also really liked Alan comments on the balcony at the end of the show about how, if he could change just one thing about America, he said he'd find the best and brightest and put them to work improving the way the country is run. :thumbsup:
