So I went over to an unnamed conservative website, and I had to page down about five times before I found ONE thread about Bush's speech. But the minimum wage bill and ion engines are all the rage. And I here I thought he was their homeboy.

Anyway, the thread was really the AP story by Tom Ruam who reports House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, saying "the plan might be distasteful to some but he called it our best shot at victory in Iraq." I'm assuming here that there was no pun intended. (He's running again in 08' isn't he?)

Well, the poster's "answer" to the speech was in the form of an avatar showing the GOP Dumbo blasting a missile from its trunk -- Touting themselves as "the party of search and destroy." Meanwhile the Democratic avatar is flying a white flag on its tail -- the "cut and run" diatribe. Obviously conservative humor (if there is such a thing), is an acquired taste.

And this is the best they can come up with? Seriously. Now I know I'm not talking mental giants here. In reality, from the posts I've seen over there, anything above the intelligence of a can of tomato paste would be an improvement. However, in the spirit of fair play, I "borrowed" those avatars and made a few changes. Well, actually they're not so much changed as they're just tell the truth now:



Isn't insanity sometimes defined as committing the same destructive behavior over and over again, expecting a different result? Isn't that grounds to get started with the double impeachment proceedings???
