And Now You See Why Repubs DID NOT Use the 'Nuclear Option' in the Senate...
Just imagine what the Senate would look like today if the Repubs had followed through and ruled the filibuster unconstitutional when they were in the majority.

Funny how things look differently when you go from the majority to the minority.

1. We don't know that. They never had a vote on it. The middle 12 senators made a pact.

All the moderates agreed on a deal that let in 3 hyper-conservative judges. As for Alito, Dems caved on that, too. The fact is that we don't know if they would have used it or not. I tend to believe, if it came down to it, that they would have used it. They were an arrogant lot.

Peace

2. Alito is a younger and thinner Fawell
Roberts is some sort of mechanical right wing robot. They are both undeserving of the Court.

6. Repubs got what they wanted without using the option.
That's why they didn't use it.

7. Frist WOULD have used it if needed.
The high-ridin' pubs had the Nazi-inspired theme of centuries of conservative domination on the brain. The 'democrat party' would soon be the latter-day Whigs - so why worry?
Talk about hubris.
