If I was a letter carrier, I would call in sick on Wednesday.

Tell 'em I had Ebola or something.

6. Personally .. I don't look for mail
It is good news sometimes. But most of the time, nah.

Have you ever heard of post offices being closed when an ex-president gets burried. Isn't that rather strange?

Glad I mailed my rent check early. Landlord is going to be chomping at the bit to get his mail, tho.

7. Or money to buy food
I imagine some folks are waiting for paychecks, assistance, and food stamps. I don't think Gerald Ford would want one group of people to go hungry so another group of people could have a paid holiday. I'm sure that thought never floated near any of the Bush Beautiful Minds.

8. we get TONS of junk mail--afraid our carrier would cut us off and make
us go to the post office to pick the crap up.

it's amazing how fast these mailing lists get sold and passed around!

i have a stack on the floor i go through once every week or two.
