Chimpy SLEPT through 10 PM EST/9 PM CST Saddam execution...
Edited on Mon Jan-01-07 08:37 PM by npincus
yes, all of the HARD WORK must have gotten to Bubble-boy, and he was fast asleep when Hussein was executed on Friday night- 10PM EST, 9 PM in Crawford, Texas. Mind you, at 9PM EST (8PM CST) CNN was saying that the execution would take place within the hour! Why wouldn't one of his staff wake up Sir Sleep-a-lot? When the hell does he have his milk and cookies, anyway, before Laura tucks him into the bassinet?

How the hell, after all that monkey has put this country through, all of the deaths and disfigurement he has caused, for the sake of "gittin' Hussein" (didn't Woodward write that long before the invasion, B*sh had promised to "kick his ass", or something like that) and avengin' his Daddy, he SLEPT thorough this event, the consequence of his decision to invade?

We just got back from vacation- heard this at the hotel on CNN, Saturday morning. Unbelievable. THIS is what the Chimp is doing when he is supposed to be keeping in touch with world events, and coming up with a "new way forward" in Iraq. SLEEPING.

1. Hey, it's hard work being the President.
You expect him to stay up until the evening news every fucking night?

2. Sleeping. Passed out. Why did it take a day for Cheney to report
his friend-face-shooting? Sleeping or passed out? Either way, it's the Republiconjob way.

that must be it...
who the F*CK goes to sleep at 9PM??? Certainly not the president of the USA, on such an auspicious night, UNLESS he is way fucked up.... and could NOT be roused due to his extreme intoxication. I didn't think of that, really. But it makes perfect sense.

i really think Chimpy should go back to cocaine instead... at least that would keep him awake.

7. The inconsiderate bastard
who didn't arrange for Saddam to be strung up in time for the six o clock news should be looking for another job.

Or,

Maybe they could have bookended it with a cartoon, he may have stayed awake for that

8. Don't you think...
...it actually made a stronger statement that legitimized the Iraqi government for him to leave it completely up to them? I mean, he didn't have to be up watch-dogging the thing. I think that displayed confidence and trust in THEM (and whatever we might think about Bush, for us to get out of Iraq, they need to have the confidence to run their own show.)

but respectfully.... by that same logic, I suppose B*sh's ignorance, lack of involvement, lack of awareness, etc. of the devastation in New Orleans after Katrina, and his ineffectiveness with managing the aftermath was because he had every confidence in those folks to swim to safety and forage successfully for food and water!

But, I must say if you really believe that, I'd like to interest you in some "bargain" swamp land I just happen to own... It comes with its own "London Bridge"

:toast: Don't take offense at our "jocularity" with you.

9. he WAS NOT sleeping, not a chance
that tale was their lame brain idea of 'distancing' the chimperor from the execution when in truth he was likely watching it live on HDTV with a bowl of pretz... erm, peanuts in hand.
