In 2006, the House voted to ban horse slaughter for human consumption with a vote of 263 to 146, but yet the Senate ignored thousands upon thousands of faxes, phone calls and letters to bring S. 1915 to a vote. Americans want horse slaughter to end now!

Horse Slaughter is the ultimate betrayal. We teach our horses to trust us and then send them to a horrific, barbaric death. The horsemeat does not feed hungry people, but is served as a "delicacy" in France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Japan. Americans do not eat horsemeat!

Sadly, they love foal meat the best.

These foregn-owned slaughter houses don't even pay any taxes. One in Texas paid $5 in 2005!

1. I don't eat horsemeat, nor would I, but I do live in Switzerland,

and horsemeat is no more a delicacy here than beef and other meats easily found in the grocery store. :hi:

I'm so glad to know that you don't eat horsemeat, but I am especially glad that you don't eat American horsemeat. It is filled with carcinogenics, because our horses are treated with many carcinogenic ointments, etc., as they were not intended to be food!

All of these products specifically state: "Not to be used on animals intended for human consumption."
