So my new book is now available at Amazon
Forgive the cheeser self-promotion, but I'm thinking this will serve as a great gift for any GOP/fundy/uninformed relative you have to see come Christmas.

House of Ill Repute: Reflections on War, Lies, and America's Ravaged Reputation

Book Description

The presidency of George W. Bush promised to restore integrity to the White House, but instead it has been plagued by scandal. With his strong voice and biting humor, William Rivers Pitt guides readers through a jaw-dropping series of presidential blunders. In this collection of articles that first appeared on truthout.org, he dissects the entire war on Iraq, including the relentless push toward war, the missing weapons of mass destruction, the Halliburton contracting scandals, sectarian violence, and the possibility of a regional conflagration. Others pieces tackle the outing of Valerie Plame, the NSA’s warrantless wiretaps, the Abramoff scandal, Lewis Libby’s indictment, and the incompetent response to Hurricane Katrina. Several essays focus on Cindy Sheehan and other citizen activists. For anyone who suspects the Bush administration of playing fast and loose with the facts, William Rivers Pitt provides a welcome voice of truth, untainted by corporate ownership.

Is it a major thrill to have a book published?

I was thrilled all out of proportion at having my design used for a local book that was published. I can't imagine how exciting it must be to have your very own book published.

It doesn't have to be on the shelf, and there is no charge for special orders. I know this because I have three published specialty books that aren't normally kept on bookstore shelves unless there is a large medical library section.

I'd love to send your new tome to every house of ill repute in my area, but there are so many. So I'm going to choose two:

The Haggard megachurch in Colorado Springs, and the Saddleback megachurch in Orange County. And then we'll see if curiosity might kill (or at least tempt) the
Cat(atonic) "Christians" who inhabit those places.

Congratulations on your new book, Will.

76. Apparently, you're an "extremely fictional writer". Oh man . . .
"Sorry I can't bear to read any more leftist drivel from this biased and extremely fictional writer. The writer is trying to distort truth and history all in one fantasy book. I'm giving this trash a thumb's down."

And I'm sure whatever thumb you're talking about will not appreciate you giving it's 'down', whatever that may be, Mr. Wizard.

Boring comedy acts aside, will you be doing a book tour? Like a stop in NE Ohio, home of our newest Senator Sherrod Brown?

84. I would like two things.
1. Your signature on my copy of this book. Perhaps I can injest some food that renders me a registered WMD again.

2. Your ass (and the rest of you) in Austin for a book signing. Mi casa es su casa.

Congratulations!

85. "Will" you be doing a book tour?
If you do a book tour....remember there are progressive types in St Louis Missouri!!! We helped send Claire McCaskill to the Senate!

Like others, I'd rather have an autographed copy.

86. Right on, brother
I've read your stuff from the very beginning of DU, and I'm really proud to know ya.

You tell it in a way that not only makes sense, but educates. That's a special talent.

Don't stop using it.

1 of 9 people found the following review helpful:

The Boston Drunkard, December 20, 2006
Reviewer: L. Sweeney "LJS"

I am surprised that William Rivers Pitt sobered up long enough to write a book.Perhaps he was able to stay booze free for 24 business hours and managed to get his book written in that time.

Mr. Pitt is also a member in good standing at the internets biggest open sewer, Democratic Underground (not as good as he was before the Rove thing.even MOONBATS don't forget some things) Waste your money if you want.....

Was this review helpful to you?

98. Impressive. I didn't know you had published a book before and
now this one. So does this mean you are going to be rich? I wish I could get an autographed copy myself. I live in a small town and we never have ANY author come within 500 miles for a book signing. Good luck with your success Mr. Pitt.

Kudos from the Tennessee Valley!

apt title, methinks.

The old whores
they have new dresses
golden hair
flowing tresses
but down inside
they're all the same
hard as nails
corrupt
and vain.
