Are George W. Bush lovers certifiable?
By Andy Bromage

A collective “I told you so” will ripple through the world of Bush-bashers once news of Christopher Lohse’s study gets out.

Lohse, a social work master’s student at Southern Connecticut State University, says he has proven what many progressives have probably suspected for years: a direct link between mental illness and support for President Bush.

Lohse says his study is no joke. The thesis draws on a survey of 69 psychiatric outpatients in three Connecticut locations during the 2004 presidential election. Lohse’s study, backed by SCSU Psychology professor Jaak Rakfeldt and statistician Misty Ginacola, found a correlation between the severity of a person’s psychosis and their preferences for president: The more psychotic the voter, the more likely they were to vote for Bush.

But before you go thinking all your conservative friends are psychotic, listen to Lohse’s explanation.

2. I've noticed that many Bush supporters blindly
accept authority, and generally aren't very well informed on the issues. Neither are they aware of the grave consequences inherent in the administration's policies and recent actions concerning civil liberties. Yet these same people vehemently opposed President Clinton and strongly endorsed his impeachment during his administration. This is something I don't understand.

3. AM radio
Somehow, the squealing static of the Amplitude Modulation carrier wave delivers a mind altering frequency that makes millionaires sound like they're trying to help working class citizens rise to privileged status.

One would think these barstool Republicans would tire of waiting for the wealth to trickle down.....yet they were told that "we don't know which side of the bell curve we're on", so they hang in there.

I listen to Dogstar radio.
