2 more years? bush can't HANDLE 2 more years.
I'm no soothsayer, but I am getting the strong impression that bush is fucked. His fall will be mighty and terrible to behold. It will also be painful for us, the next two years, but for bush it will be pure hell.

Maybe he'll stick around till the bitter end, maybe he won't, stranger things have happened to presidents, but one thing is for sure, it will not be happy play time for jr.

I seriously doubt if he can make it through the next two years intact, I forsee mental breakdowns, possible resignation, possible impeachment, or possible indictments for war crimes and many other acts of treason.

Maybe not though, he may actually get through the next two years, but not without a hell of a rough ride.

It's a question of endurance now, his and ours.

20. I think we've all been affected psychologically since Jr. took office
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 07:30 PM by Ms. November
consciously or unconsciously. I say we get free government funded psychotherapy when he and the Crime Family are finally out of D.C., or at least off Pennsylvania Avenue. None of them will actually GO AWAY, they'll just pop up somewhere else, evilly plotting the downfall of newly elected Democrats.

5. I agree
His father's recent crying spells in public show how much the pressure is on. We will begin seeing the results of the public slap the ISG presented very soon.

What I can't figure out is how these people ever thought they'd pull any of this off. Sure, Halliburton and other companies have made their money but will it really go unquestioned? It shows incredible naivete.

I am relishing two years of investigations. We have waited so long for a modicum of justice.

If Chimp has done anything good in his life, it's ensuring that no Bush will reside in the WH for a very, very long time.

Watch Junior as he approaches the podium for one of his phony speeches or press conferences. He always gets this look on his face like he wishes he were somewhere else, maybe clearing brush on his fake ranch.

9. We cant HANDLE bush for 2 more years
He's getting to the critical point and is beginning to remind me of a rabid stray dog. He is hurting and confused, but if anyone gets too close he might bite. As things get increasingly desperate for his in these last of days, he may feel a need to lash out and attempt even more and more severe actions. He possess a dangerous amount of power and centralized control and may be able to start something that not even J Baker could run and fix. Let's face it, we are all watching him the same way that we watched the OJ Bronco chase, waiting for something bad to happen. Like you said, it's a question of endurance his and ours.

When a scorpion is surrounded they often end up killing themselves because they begin striking wildly and out of control. Let's hope that we don't get stung.

27. Many elected bodies and good gov orgs have documented the case (Conyers too)
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 08:47 PM by pat_k
. . .and Rep. Cynthia McKinney had articles ready to go back in 2001 (http://journals.democraticunderground.com/pat_k/18">Articles of Impeachment: "You just write them on a piece of paper")

The bottom line is that the public has leveled specific charges against Bush and Cheney. These charges are not going anywhere. Members of Congress are sworn to defend the Constitution against threats. Threats have been put before them. Their duty demands that they http://journals.democraticunderground.com/pat_k/11">Impeach (accuse) or dismiss the charges. Anything less is dereliction.

Many of the cases for impeachment include too many items and a lot of unnecessary complexity. Bush and Cheney have been committing war crimes and conducting their criminal surveillance program in plain sight. A simple, clear, and compelling, case for impeachment need only encompass those "high crimes." A more limited, but powerful set of articles will be far more effective than a laundry list of detailed (and perhaps disputable) items. Although they should limit the articles they put before the Senate, all the outrages belong in the court of public opinion. Impeachment is a political, not a legal, process. Public opinion will drive the outcome, whatever the specific charges.

impeachment charge.

Seriously.

They would and I have a feeling some of them are thinking about it.

Bush has completely lost it.

they'd pressure the Mad Hatter-in-Chief and Darth Cheney to both resign before the new Congress comes in, while one of them is still next-in-line. (Ugh, Pres. Hastert. Yikes!)

15.  I'm more worried about what Cheney is up to
Bush seems to be so drugged up and in denile that he may make it another 2 years unless he ends up over dosed .

But cheney is always up to something criminal in the shaddows .

It's only the few weeks since the elections that Bush has been really concerned about anything at all .

I really wonder just who is running this country and in charge of this horror making the plans .

This is really one screwed up world where you can't find any truth .

21. This is going to sound awful, and I must emphasize...
that this has been a dream and only a dream. I mean literally, a sleeping in your bed, sound asleep, dream.

For the last couple of months I have had dreams in which I have read newspaper headlines announcing the POTUS committed suicide. The dreams are always a bit different, but I wake up with that nanosecond of not being able to realize whether it is dreamworld or reality I am remembering.

This is NOT a desire to see it happen, nor am I prone to prognostication. I just find it weird that this has entered my subconscious lately.

25. I wouldn't put it past old man Bush himself
to greenlight a bullet through the little prick's head. Frame the Iranians or Syrians. try and twist Dubya into a heroic martyr who was 'right' all along. Let Cheney boot fuck the rest of Arabia as a result. I would not put it past the Bush's to kill their own or start WW3 as a last desperate measure to stop their image and their empire from completely shattering to bits

I bet Baker rues the day he intervened in Florida in 2000.

The only thing that will help Dumbya is if some horrible calamity befalls him or his family and it draws sympathy from the public.

of both he and Cheney. Pelosi would of course take the mantle. She's not my favorite politician but she's better than any of those 2 flunkies. Maybe she'll wrap up the job until 08' when we can put somebody real in like Al Gore(who really is the president but I digress) or perhaps Gen. Clarke.

30. Without even consulting my crystal ball, I foresee LEAKS, LEAKS & MORE LEAKS...
Lose lips sink ships... When there is an obvious leak that one can't quite find, it becomes a torrent... First, there is a screaming out, so loud that even media hears and repeats the SOS. (this already happened) Then, a skipper orders that cargo must be thrown over-board, including critical Rummy rations... Finally, the rats begin to abandon ship... This is the next thing we can expect to see from our limited window into this scenario.
