Boy Accused Of Molesting Toddlers Returned To Neighborhood
Boy Accused Of Molesting Toddlers Returned To Neighborhood

POSTED: 6:46 pm EST November 28, 2006
UPDATED: 7:25 pm EST November 28, 2006

A 15-year-old boy caught on a hidden nanny camera allegedly molesting two young boys at a Palm Coast, Fla., home was sent back to his home near the alleged victims because of overcrowding problems at area detention centers, according to a Local 6 News report.

Brandon Jaffe, 15, was taken into custody after neighborhood parents videotaped the boy allegedly molesting their 2- and 3-year-old children.

"The toddler's parents planted a video camera in their home and their worst fears were confirmed when they watched the tape," Local 6's Tarik Minor said. "Their baby sitter had been sexually molesting their 2- and 3-year-old boys."

Jaffe was put on house arrest and allowed back to his neighborhood because the county's detention centers are overcrowded, Local 6 News reported.

"It was a tough call, according to a Flagler County judge," Minor said. "He considered letting Jaffe live with a family friend while he await trail but that friend has a 5-year-old of her own. The judge opted not to shift one community's problem to another."

1. Jeb Bush's Florida
Cut all those "social" programs, give tax cuts to the rich.

The Bushs know their priorities.

2. Who are all of these sick people?

I feel like this story is like one of those "How Many Things Wrong Can You Find In This Picture" pages
from "Highlights" magazine. Remember the page/puzzle with the basketball in the tree and a spoon on
the mailbox...and you were supposed to circle the errors?

This story is one of those puzzles!!

Let's see...we've got the young molester who is now roaming free..after he molested two children. I guess that's no
longer a crime.

Then, we've got the police returning the molester back to his home. Obviously, someone molested this 15-year old--and
that person is probably in the family or close to the family. So nice of these people to return him to his home, without
investigating or first giving this person counseling or in-house therapy somewhere.

Then, we've got this "family friend" who offered to house this 15-year old molester. The police turned down the offer
because this "family friend" has a five-year old. You would think that the mother and father of this five-year old--who offered to shelter this molester--would thought to protect their own young five-year old!! Gee! Let's allow a pedophile into our
home with our own child...faboo idea!

So, this 15-year old pedophile will return to unexamined abusive circumstances--and be surrounded by idiots who will probably allow him to molest more children.

Hello? Anyone home?

3. It's out of the Twilight Zone
That's America today. The GOP wish to think only of economic policies, and disregard everything else. There is little money for social work programs or rehab programs.

But those mansions in upscale Forida are impressive.

4. What's the solution in a situation like this? Treatment or punishment?
Good enough to get worked up about it, but what's the point without treating it as a symptom of a serious problem that hasn't been provided with real solutions?

5. Would putting this kid in a mental facility
be such a horrible thing? At least he would be under supervision and even get some help while he is there. It doesn't seem like they tried very hard to find a suitable solution.
