Dear 85% of US troops in Iraq; newsflash for ya re Saddam & 911;
"First, just if I might correct a misperception, I don’t think we ever said – at least I know I didn’t say that there was a direct connection between September the 11th and Saddam Hussein."

Just thought ya'll should know, you're killing & dying for a "misperception". Iraq/Saddam Hussein had NOT ONE DAMN THING to do with 911.

"85% (of US troops in Iraq) said the U.S. mission is mainly “to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9-11 attacks,"

Imagine killing people and/or dying for a "misperception".

Now you see why we say;

IMPEACH.

INDICT.

IMPRISON.

8. My friend who was in the army for 24 years said they are very censored
on what they way. Of course I think they are fed this crap also but you probably won't hear a soldier in the field saying to his commanding officer, "We were deceived into coming here."

I also think that military families have it so hard that they stay in denial because it is easier to believe their family members are in harms way, (or wounded, suffering from PTSD or dead) for a noble cause and not because this freaking administration lied. People go into denial when there brains can't handle the reality of a situation.

15. Military was duped into believing invading Iraq was 'payback' for 9/11
I will never forget the ABC program hosted by Diane Sawyer right before the invasion where soldiers who were interviewed couldn't wait to invade because they were eager to 'payback' Iraq for 9/11 and hoped invading Iraq would keep keep their kids and grandkids safe from another 9/11 attack. Of course, nothing was said by Diane Sawyer or ABC to counterbalance this misinformation although it was well known even then that Saddam had no connection to the 9/11 attack.
