Abortion Doctor Wants O'Reilly Probe

Clinic Representative Says, 'Our Worst Nightmare Has Happened'

- An abortion doctor plans to ask for an investigation of the state attorney general and Bill O'Reilly over comments by the Fox television host that he got information from Kansas abortion records, the doctor's attorneys said Saturday.

Dr. George Tiller said he will ask the Kansas Supreme Court on Monday to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate and take possession of the records of 90 patients from two clinics.

Attorney General Phill Kline obtained the records recently after a two-year battle that prompted privacy concerns. He has said he sought the records to review them for evidence of possible crimes including rape and illegal abortions.

During a Friday night broadcast of "The O'Reilly Factor," the conservative host said a "source inside" told the show that Tiller performs late-term abortions when a patient is depressed, which O'Reilly deemed "executing babies."

O'Reilly also said his show has evidence that Tiller's clinic and another unnamed clinic have broken Kansas law by failing to report potential rapes with victims ages 10 to 15.

A spokeswoman for Kline, who received redacted copies of the records Oct. 24, said Saturday he doesn't know how O'Reilly obtained the information.

I think women should drag O'Reilly and Kline out into the street and tar and feather them

and sue them into bankruptcy

2. The O'Reilley pig would squeal like he was stuck! No way he'd
go to jail for a "source". He's only a "warrior" in a very stretched, metaphorical sense, like you use for book titles and PR...

3. a new low for B'illey/Fox/et al...i didn't think it was possible
all of a sudden, the "state" is interested in prosecuting RAPE??? huh? why not prosecute at the time of the crime. if the woman didn't report a RAPE... then... how is it going to be prosecuted, anyway? do they intend to bring women in who, according to their OB-Gyn records had a D&C and INTERROGATE them as to whether the sex was consensual?

this is seriously frightening... Welcome to Gillead.

we better freaking win this thing tomorrow...

11. Age 10/15 , they are going after 'child abuse'
At that age, it's highly possible the 'rape' is from a family member or someone 'known' to the family. Hence, the child might STILL be in the same situation. When these type of cases are not reported, it isn't always because the victum didn't want to report it. It might be because the family is trying to protect the attacker. The victum becomes even more victumized to prevent the actual reporting of the crime.

It's a sticky mess.

So, reporting an abortion on a 'child' of that age, is in line with reporting brusing, broken bones, etc from Doctors, teachers, etc. It's possible child abuse that must be investigated. Hence the problem when realisticly we also have children that age engaaging in sexual activity on their own. And gettign prego in non-rape situations. But then again, it's the same situation when you have an active child that jumps, plays, etc.. not working about brusing and it looking like child abuse. <shurg> The authoritys don't know, unless the investigate.

4. I am unaware of the existence of such medical specialization.
You surely mean Ob/Gyn?

10. Well, he really is an abortion doctor
I had a miscarriage 10 years ago where my body refused to reject the zygote or whatever it was at 7 weeks. When I had to have a D&C I went to the best, Dr. Tiller. He knows what he's doing and was incredibly compassionate and warm. Wonderful man.

Fastest Pap smear (post surgery) in the West too. I asked him if I could come to him for my OB/GYN needs and he said he didn't take on regular patients and was focused on termination and D&C procedures.

I don't think he'd mind being called an abortion doctor, in my experience. It's what he does and he makes no bones about it.

7. I thought you were going to mention the O'Reilly probe!
It's rather painful, and one of the only medical procedures to involve a loofa!

6. It would have been funnier...
..if you had said

OBGYN want OReily probed.

My guess on this is, as usual filling his three hours, he pulled it out of his ass. They've been known to make up facts on the fly.

8. I don't think so...
Phill Kline, the AG of Kansas, is an anti-abortion whackjob who has done little during his tenure other than harass abortion providers and violate the privacy of women.

Giving an 'inside' scoop to O'Reilly based on the medical records he obtained is EXACTLY something he would do. It has his fingerprints all over it.

Fortunately, Kline will lose his job tomorrow, but this still demands an investigation. It's a complete violation of his public trust to give information that's in those medical records - supposedly CONFIDENTIAL records - to FOX News. Un-friggin-believable.
