Karl Rove LOST the 92, 96, and 2000 elections
He won the 02 and 04 elections only because enough people were stupified by 9/11 into acting like frightened sheep.

Now he's about to lose the fourth out of the last 6 elections for the RePUKES.

Some genius.

1. He lost 2004 as well. Stolen in Ohio by Blackwell and the racists.

7. Blackwell & Co. used voting-suppression tactics
But I think Bush still would have won Ohio without them, albeit by narrower length. In Flordia, Katherine Harris' actions were enough to steal the election because it ultimately ended up closer than Florida. But Blackwell definately tried to suppress the vote, and thus makes him just as bad as Harris (both of them are going to lose this year!)

9. And purging black Democratic voters from the rolls
During Reconstruction, was charging black voters a poll tax and forcing them to take a literacy test "genius"? Hell no! And what R*ve & Co did in Florida and Ohio wasn't "genius" either. It was criminal.

If Repugnicans could genuinely win on their merits, and if their policies and "values" are really so popular, why do they have to lie about everything they do?

Here are some famous last words from R*ve's mentor, Lee Atw*ter, on his deathbed:
"My illness helped me to see that what was missing in society is what was missing in me: a little heart, a lot of brotherhood. The '80s were about acquiring -- acquiring wealth, power, prestige. I know. I acquired more wealth, power, and prestige than most. But you can acquire all you want and still feel empty. What power wouldn't I trade for a little more time with my family? What price wouldn't I pay for an evening with friends? It took a deadly illness to put me eye to eye with that truth, but it is a truth that the country, caught up in its ruthless ambitions and moral decay, can learn on my dime. I don't know who will lead us through the '90s, but they must be made to speak to this spiritual vacuum at the heart of American society, this tumor of the soul."

6. Dumping a boatload of money into California in October 2000
Might have contributed to Gore winning. That was one tactically-stupid mistake that Rove made.

8. Rove's strategy is very shortsighted.
He divides people, sections off a base of gullible voters, and calls it a mandate. Eventually people get wise to the fact that his party talks big but doesn't deliver competent government. Now that he's been exposed, all he can do is lamely try to keep the base from further eroding by playing them for fools over and over again. Looks to me like he's painted himself into a very small corner.

It's like business: you can put out a product and advertise it to the hilt and make big claims and offer incentives for buying, but if the product doesn't make you happy, you aren't going to go back and waste your money again.

10. Rove is retarded.
I had more complicated maneuverings by the time I was in junior high. They weren't evil, however.

13. you're right. '02 was a fluke after 9/11--'04 they stole Ohio
to win the electoral vote.

Karl Rove is not a miracle man, just one good at stealing elections.

14. Sorry, Karl WON in 2000. If not, then why was Gore not in the oval office?
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 12:55 PM by Dr Fate
Sorry, but when you "win"- that means you take the prize.

Karl, by hook and crook WON 2000. Period. I know for a fact that he WON the recount battle because I saw Bush on TV as President with my own eyes.

Stop saying Rove lost the 2000 election- it is not true. He won it.

Whether we have strategists who can win recount battles or not is important, so lets not distort the facts.

15. He lost the election of 2000 in an honest vote count, but stole it
by one vote in the US Supreme Court.

18. In other words, he WON the recount battle and Bush was President.
Are we saying that we dont need to be able to win recount battles and media propaganda battles like Karl does?

I'm not.

19. Nope, Supremes stole it. If you hobble a runner you dont' "win" if you
cross the finish line first. You're not a winner you're a filthy thief.

21. It got to SCOTUS b/c Karl WON the recount & propaganda battles.
It would have never got to SCOTUS had Karl not WON- in a slam dunk, the recount and propaganda battles.

Who is to say that getting this to a rigged SCOTUS was not part of Karl's WINNING strategy?

17. Rove lost. His candidate didn't get the most votes.
That's how elections are won or lost in America. Let's not say a criminal who steals elections is the "winner."

20. He WON the media propaganda and recount battles.
Let's not pretend that we dont need to win those battles (like Rove does) in order to be physically in the seat of power- in America.

I thought that when people "lost" in politics that means they go home with their heads bowed down and look for other work- I have yet to see Rove and his media lose a damn thing.

When I say "Win" I mean, the guy who takes the prize- bottom line stuff.

16. Rove LOST 2002, 2004 - that's why they had to SUPPRESS and STEAL VOTES
to stay in power.

A REAL genius would have won based on their ability to SELL THE POLICY.
