Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 03:59 PM by in_cog_ni_to
Just on Randi Rhodes...a guy called in and said it was just announced on CNN that Kerry has called for a filibuster. Did anyone see the report? I don't watch CNN. :(

2. Maybe because of this on Bartcop?
Quote of the Day

"I am prepared to filibuster, if necessary,
any Supreme Court nominee who would
turn back the clock on a woman's right to
choose or the constitutional right to privacy,
on civil rights and individual liberties and on
the laws protecting workers and the environment,"
-- John Kerry, 2003
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archi...

John, please stop making a liar out of yourself.
Filibuster Alito.

What are you afraid of?

12. Bartcop sure doesn't know REAL history, only how to defend Clinton.
Undergod love ya' bart, but did it ever occur to you that there is only one reason BushInc has so much power today? Because Clinton decided to MOVE ON from investigations of IranContra and BCCI right when they were proving the worst about the BFEE. He didn't want poor Poppy Bush to feel pressure in his retirement. How nice.

Read it for yourself in his book, My Life.

27. Bah.
Don't you think that it's a little dishonest to put all the blame for the Bush era on Clinton? Don't you think that maybe the Bush era is the fault of Bush and the people who put him there?

I swear, the only thing that some people here can ever think of is attacking the Clintons.

32. I used to defend Clinton, too. Read his book, he dropped all investigation
into IranContra and BCCI crimes in favor of Poppy Bush having a peaceful retirement.

In fact, he never once even MENTIONS anything about BCCI in his book. Pretty damn odd, isn't it?

This is perfect for Kerry (just as Randi said). If he never makes it to the WH, his legacy lies in the Senate and he's standing up for the entire Legislative Branch in opposing this nominee.

GOOD FOR HIM FOR FINALLY STANDING ON PRINCIPLE!

Assume he's going to run in '08 since he was in the Middle East and everywhere last week. Doing his homework, I guess. Maybe somethings going to come out about Ohio vote...and he can be installed as the real President.

Or, maybe he's just protecting the Heinz Fortune. who knows with Kerry.

She said it would be difficult, but she wasn't ruling it out and I'm sure she'll get on board if Kerry's willing to lead.

I'm sure there are PLENTY of Democratic Senators who have WANTED a filibuster but didn't want to be the first one to say the word ... Now that they have someone to lead them, JUST YOU WATCH!!!
