7. the Jersey one promotes some weird stereotypes
Vince Lombardi Freakin' Rest Stop, for crying out loud. I get the big hair, but why are they sipping martinis? And you can't smoke in NJ now, it's totally unrealistic.

13. the Vince Lombardi rest area is the first thing you see
going southbound on the Jersey Turnpike from NYC, so it's like a "New Yorker's View of the Universe" mug, and Lombardi has an Italian surname so that really pushes the joke along (Vince the man was actually a Brooklyn boy, so the conceit's full circle) along with the Pagliacci makeup. I guess there's a pro-tolerance message buried under the caricature, so it's kind of a mixed message about superficial prejudices.

12. For those without Microscopic Vision, here's Mr. Fish...
...the text I managed to transcribe from his cartoon after enlarging it so human eyes could read it.

I agree with the sentiment, but damn it, the guy needs to learn how to use SHORT DAMN SENTENCES if he expects anyone to read what he says! Here is his run-on text:

"Please let your sons play with dolls, to cry whenever they feel like it, to see strength and dignity in humility and kindness and to define heroism as one's ability to avoid violence rather than to incite or champion it, otherwise you might accidentally create another mindless fucking ass-licking yes-man to be exploited by an incorporated government populated by a bunch of ruthless cowards who require a reliable supply of such stupidity to commit terrorist acts of murder and robbery against completely defenseless societies around the world and to make anyone hoping to raise their children and grandchildren in a world organized around the precepts of peace and freedom feel as if they are living in an absolute hell on Earth."
