So I finally saw a bit of Dennis Miller's HBO special last night
Before I went to bed I saw Miller's HBO special last night. I saw half of it with my dad and decided to see what I missed (my dad turned it off when he started bashing democrats, not even he laughed at that). I found a few things interesting. He got into it about the Alito hearings and how boring they are. Than he started ripping on Al Sharpton who is not any sort of elected official. And of course he bashed Dean and Kucinich (calling them both "crazy"). I found it interesting how he did not bash John Kerry at all and he even praised Hillary Clinton. He said he thought Hillary had a shot at the presidency and that the only person who could stop her was Bill. I found it very strange how he's bashing democrats one minute and the next praising Hillary Clinton.

2. Probably doing what most other repugs are doing.
Talking Hillary up to trick people into thinking that she actually has a chance in hell of winning. :eyes:

12. Exactly
Even Molly Ivins put a halt on the absurd notion of Senator Clinton running for President. It's just another red herring thrown out by the rightwingnut media so that we take our eyes off the main events - i.e., Iraq, the abomination called Alito, and - get your seats now, folks - the upcoming songfest of Jack Abramoff.

I declare my own personal moratorium on discussing 2008 Presidential candidates, simply because it's a ridiculous waste of time, and because there are much more important things on which to focus.

Pass the popcorn.

4. They want us to want Hillary to run
Personally, I don't want her to run, but they want us to want it so badly that they think if they say nice things about her we will fall for their plan. I'm not buying it. The more I hear them say she will be the nominee, the more I will push back against just that.

14. Have a nice life.......
He's dirt now, reduced to doing NetZero (is it?) commercials for some dial-up provider.

Can it go lower than that?

Soon, he won't be seen anywhere, and that will be a very good thing.

When he mentioned Bill's name he got a good number of whoops and hollars. I didn't see too much of it.

15. That's what they had to do on his MSGOP show it turns out.
Right before they canned his sorry ass, it became pretty well known that they had to actually bring in and pay people to sit in the audience and watch him. I really don't know if they could pay me enough to sit there and be bored half to death with his inane drivel.

Honestly though, the guy was funny years ago when Barry Crimmins was writing his material, but Miller himself hasn't had an original or even slightly insightful thought enter his head before or since.

23. The scary part of that special was...
...some of the audience actually applauded at some of his RNC talking points-type jokes.

Some didn't.

Maybe they all got a free buffet afterward.
