I just finished sending my 100th email (today) to Katie Couric.

In each one I have told her that I have basically been watching NBC all day for her clarification of the facts surround Abramoff's donations. Seeing as it is personally and politically, not to mention professionally damaging to speak about that which we have not researched in any way shape or form, one would think we should be hearing from her at any moment. I plan to continue doing this every 10 minutes today.

Dear Ms. Couric,

I am concerned. This morning, watching your show, I witnessed you telling the current chair of the DNC-and the viewing audience-that you were going to clarify come comments he had made. Gov. Dean had challenged, and categorically denied your claim that Jack Abramoff had made donations to Democratic campaigns as well as Republican. You made a comment on clarifying the story for the viewer ship. I am still waiting. One would think that a woman of your professional standing would have 1. Done a few minutes of research before your interview or 2. Cited the source for your claim, and most definitely 3. Made this clarification as soon as humanly possible to avoid misleading the public, many of whom trust you for the truth.

Anyway, I asked them this question...If IBM is a client of Abramoff, and they donate money to Democrats as well, does that mean the Democrats are tainted? (After the Daily Show, I'll never see the word "tainted" the same again.)

I only e-mailed once this morning.

But I pointed out that Dean had first said that no Democrats took money from Abramoff over two weeks ago on Wolf Blitzer's CNN show, and that it made Couric look unprepared and biased when she didn't know that and presented untrue information. Is it possible that Couric doesn't know about the controversy surrounding the newspaper ombudsman over this very issue?

Where has she been?

Then, when corrected, all she could say was "We'll look into it." She should have looked into it before the interview!
