For future reference, as well as for this election if possible, I think its important to be as organized as possible when it comes to phone-banking.

I don't know if this is true everywhere, but at least where I am at, this time as well as in 2004, somehow we seem to end up calling the same people too frequently and they seem to be getting really pissed off. Its mostly because of chaos at the HQ resulting in the same list of no.s being given to more than one person.

Please make sure that a list of phone no.s is given to only one person for a particular time period or people could end up getting three calls on the same day from the Dems and ...uhhh they tend to get really pissed about that.
Just found out that 3 volunteers were given the exact same list of phone no.s and thats just careless and very counter-productive.

For some reason unsolicited phone calls are like junk mail and people tend to get very mad about them.

1. Seems a common problem.
I don't recall ever being on a phone bank team that did not have that happen to a certain extent. It is unfortunate sometimes but then sometimes they will thank you for reminding them.

Good luck organizing those lists, it is really difficult.

4. LOL yes
some of them get really upset don't they? Sometimes there is nothing you can do but listen and apologize and hang up shaking your head. Good luck.

3. what I'm seeing is this--
one person from a household gets called, then another person with a different name but in the same household gets another call, and so on.....so if there are many different people in one house, and if they have different last names, you unknowingly call them. I've had that happen to me. I wish whoever puts the phone lists together would group them by phone numbers or something. Sometimes you can find primary D, R and non-primary voters all in the same household, too!
