Sorry Folks... Democrats Ain't Gonna Make It!! It Matters NOT What
any polls indicate, we will win SOME... but you can fuggeddaboudit when it somes to the "close" races, they will be FRAUDED!!!

IT'S going to happen again, it's just too easy to "fix" a few machines here and there! If I am wrong there will be no happier person than I, but given ALL THAT HAS transpired these past six years... HOPE is gone and TRUST isn't far behind!

Maybe I'm in an especially bad mood today, but seeing ALL that's going on at MSNBC any confidence I might have been feelings has FADED into the sunset!

Yeah, I know... a freaking bummer! To all of you who feel the need to pray... well it's time right now. I lelt the prayer thing to others a long time ago.!

And that's not something I came by lightly... I was an extreme Catholic who did it all once before, NOW I find it HOPELESS!

Please America PROVE ME WRONG!!!

3. A part of me thinks you're right
but it's not over yet. Chris on Stephanie Miller's show not long ago also made a good point that they're not going to just come out and say they're going tolose. Remember the republicans like to frame the debate first so that's what they are doing. Reverse psychology I think. That they're going to play like they're winning and will win. Everyone just has to keep working hard. Don't find it hopeless and if they do steal it again fight and get other people to fight and do whatever you can.

I'm not giving up. If the votes are fixed there WILL be an outcry THIS TIME. Why? Some of these races are NOT even close. It won't be so easy for Rove to ask Diebold to make Republicans win.

This will be the final *test* BUT WE ALL MUST VOTE ON NOVEMBER 7TH!

They WANT you to think it's less likely, they WANT us to start having second thoughts! I'm not advocating cockiness (leave that to the asshats on the other side) but we MUST NOT BUY INTO ROVECO'S TRAP!

With the exception (very early today) of David Gregory, all the hosts have leaned right. Wait for Keith later -- he'll give us some TRUTH about how things stand.

What PANSIES the Republicans seem to be.

Can the Right Wingers be any more ignorant? They get these middle American people to vote on one issue as they steal their jobs or lower their pay. 72. Thank You For Reminding Others Here That "Activism" Is So
important! I certainly have supported that notion for a very long time! I AM very active! I volunteer, call, march in parades, sign petitions, pass out fliers, stand on corners... you name it I am involved! Even so if I dug deeper I could do more, But how many are doing NORTHING??

In truth most people avoid "talking politics" until it becomes a focus of any conversation. Anyone who knows me knows that "politics" is more likely than not to come up in some sort of way. I have no shame regarding this. But how many people do you know, outside of of your political circle, who would risk having another person pass judgment on them for their political views???

Money & Image... it kind of overtakes everything else! Ain't NOTHING like a good dose of cynicism to bring reality home! Unfortunately, as one who tries NOT to hate anything, I really do hate the fact that I feel the way I do! Plenty of blame to go around, problem is.... what can be done about it?

12. Tell ya what. You go out and see Martin Scorsese's new film THE DEPARTED
this evening or tomorrow.

Enjoy it. It's really well-done. A bit violent, definitely, but polished and powerful.

Then come back and just send out some positive vibes for the blue team.

We're gonna flip the House and we're neck-and-neck on the home stretch for the Senate.

Now that ain't a bad place.

There's going to be attempts at fraud, but the numbers right now suggest that even the most corrupt Republicans aren't going to be able to get away with much this time.

Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004, yes.

But not this time.

82. Hi, StellaBlue. You mention DiCaprio -- he was shockingly good in
this role.

I think Scorsese and DiCaprio have an understanding. They don't seem to be the same kinds of people but they seem to respect each other enough to form a whole new level.

And the rest of the cast was good also -- especially the police shrink. My god was she excellent or what?

Scorsese had me in this one at the corner store scene at the very first, as the Stones did "Gimme Shelter" in the sountrack.

Hell of a picture.

Her cat eyes, which always seemed to be made of water to me, I can't explain... she annoys me. And I cannot remember what else I have seen her in.

Anyway, yes, DiCaprio WAS shockingly good. I want to see it again just for his performance. It was flawless. I am in awe. I think the fact that he has aged a little and doesn't look so baby-faced anymore has helped him. But it was beyond that. He was just excellent in this film. As near perfect as I have seen on screen. Because he was so good, the ending was especially riveting. Oh, man... I have to go see it again.

83. ChiciB1, you're one of the brave ones, and that's a fact.
Your apprehension about U.S. democracy is understandable, IMO, and no one can say the Rove era or the Lee Atwater before it has done anything to assuage our fears.

On the other hand, quite literally millions of people told the little monkey not to invade Iraq, and the little monkey didn't listen.

He ordered it, he has to eat it.

And except for the technicality of not being on the ballot this year, he's on it more than any other single Republican almost.

And he's not going to win.

Catch the Scorsese film no matter what -- it packs a punch -- and in the next couple of weeks, we'll all give a hard shove to put a huge majority of Democrats into Congress.

I'm with ya.

incompetent.

In the past 2 or 3 elections cycles at least, the Rethugs could cheat more easily because an assured percentage of their base was already in the bag.

Not so this time, and any cheating would be far more detectable and suspicious.

Where BFEE will cheat if they have to?
MISSOURI !!! The only toss up state with a Republican governor.

Here's why:

The latest prediction for the Senate, according to Rasmussen (fake polls to justify fraud after the election), shows:

Democrats - 47 Seats
Republicans - 48 Seats

Five states are toss ups. Here are the latest numbers for these races:

Democrats Ahead
MONTANA - TESTER 48% BURNS 46% (Mason Dixon 10-24) - Up 2% - Democrat Gov Sweitzer
NEW JERSEY - MENENDEZ 48% KEAN 39% (Monmouth Univ 10-22) - Up 9% - Democrat Gov Corzine

Republicans Ahead - Where they will cheat if they have to. They need at least two of these to get to 50-50 with Cheney's vote:
MISSOURI - TALENT 50% MCCASKILL 47% (Zogby 10-19) - Up 3% - Republican Gov Blunt
TENNESSEE - CORKER 50% FORD 42% (Zogby 10-19) - Up 8% - Democrat Gov Bresden
VIRGINIA - ALLEN 47% WEBB 43% (Mason Dixon 10-23) - Up 4% - Democrat Gov Kaine

Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 02:56 PM by stopbush
They have been slamming the racist anti-Ford (TN) ad and calling GOP guests on it. All they
have offered - from melman to Matlin - are avoidance of the question and lies, and it shows
very, very clearly in the coverage.

Yes - MSNBC overbooked R guests for today, but they are NOT getting their spin across at all.

On edit: Pre-Foley, Tweety was foaming over bush's "climb in the polls." "He's at 42%. If he
gains 2 points a week until the election he'll be at 50% and the Rs win." He actualy said that...but
then, shit happens, doesn;t it?

really. I mean they will take the chance of riots in the streets if it means holding onto their power? Why? Because one, they have an agenda for the world that they aren't about to let go of now that they have it, and two, they can't afford investigations of all their illegal activities. They are desperate people in so many ways. And truthfully, if there are riots and protests on the streets, how will that be handled by our government? Hell, we could all end up in Gitmo.

Now, does that mean I am not voting? Absolutely not. Even though in my gut I don't think they will relinquish power, I am hoping and yes, praying, that I am wrong.

32. I'm inclined to agree, except for the fact that this election . . .
is going to be the biggest Democratic landslide since LBJ in 1964 . . .

they're certainly going to TRY everything in their power to fix enough races to maintain control of Congress, but the turnout and the large Democratic margins could be too much too overcome without being totally obvious . . . I know that being totally obvious has never stopped them before, but this year the electorate is in no mood for it . . .

it's gonna be one hell of an interesting election night, that's for sure . . .

but to make it close enough that people won't challenge stolen elections. If people at least believe that the election results are possible, then I think the powers to be will be confident that they can swing some results and not have a revolution.

63. You have proven yourself wrong
Get a hold of yourself. In the few weeks prior to an election, these thugs use mind control tactics to convince people to give up, or become disinterested now that it looks like we'll win.

Fight. Fight for your mind. You are not in jail, but the Rethugs are doing their damnedest to make you think you are. And that is enough.

And by the way, you are spreading your fear through your post here. We are all concerned. But we must not give up this close to elections or your viewpoint will prevail.

Not to mention how you are over prayer. Here's a link for you--no matter what happens come election day, seek enlightenment.

Now he agrees with me on one thing: If the dems don't take the house it will be a case of straight out fraud. period. and no one will see it for anything but fraud. The country won't stand for it this time.

I'm hopeful.

92. Exit polls will say a lot
The Florida effort to squash exit polls failed today. A similar Ohio court case is in limbo to my knowledge.

Voter exit polls are the most accurate kind of poll. They're used in other countries to determine if voting fraud was committed. If they are conducted here in all the states, it will say a lot if the Diebold and ES & S tabulation results differ. They differed whee Bush stole the election and the pollsters wondered "how we could have gotten it so wrong".

Methinks they are getting it now.:patriot:

your choice. either you fix it peacefully now... or you plan to fix it violently later. see, the way the world is now it WILL realign itself (and it's dangerously leaning towards all-out violence), because there is too much falling apart because of neo-con stances right now. two choices, that's it, and sitting on your ass and letting it all go to hell isn't an allowed choice. so, should i sign you up for Civil War II preparations since you're writing off elections?

or should we just all write you off?...

106. Thank You All For Your Comments Here... I'm Actually Very Happy To See
that it generated so much interest. I'm one who has advocated being as ACTIVE as you can be ALL THE TIME! I have found that sometimes one of my biggest problems is my inability to get responses on issues regarding activism!

Coming in through the back door does work at times. I take no offense by comments stating how "stupid" this post was, I think I accomplished what I wanted to. It's heartwarming to see others thinking positively about Nov. 7th. Seeing these responses maybe there will be enough energy to "do something" if we see FRAUD again.

I have been pushing two points lately.... GET OUT THE VOTE, and Don't Let Your Guard Down! I've already voted here by absentee in The District Of Cruella, and have been doing LOTS AND LOTS of campaigning locally and even gave away more money than I should have.

Living in Florida where it all seems to have begun in earnest back in 2000 has made me more angry than some, has given me less HOPE than some and has made me actually shy away from trusting very much. Maybe the message IS getting out there.... I want what has happened to America of late to be a MEMORY, albeit a bitter one!

...but you CAN'T give up!! There is still hope! As long as there
are patriotic Americans with breath in their lungs....there is hope!!

You are part of that hope...so use your anger and your disgust to
motivate you!!

Did't you know that adrenaline is a powerful weapon against corruption, vote stealing
and garden-variety Fascism? Get pumped up, vote, volunteer to be a poll worker,
call people on election day and offer to drive them to the polls!

Seriously!!!

Campaigns all over the country need people to drive Dems to the polls. Make a
phone call or two and someone will put you to work. You can speed...all the way
to the polls---knowing that you are delivering Dem votes and catapulting the
evil bastards out of Congress! Whooo hooooo!

Do it!! Do it!! Nash your teeth!!! Growl!!! You're a democracy monster!!!!
Say it with me now....Grrrrrrrrrr!!! I will not allow third-rate thugs steal
my country!!! Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Ready.....BREAK!!!!

(Hey, what can I say...this stuff works with my kids sometimes) ;)

128. Good Reply.... We Need To Stay Angry!
I AM angry and have been for a long time, I just don't think we've done enough with our anger for quite some time. Staying Unified hasn't been a weapon we've used a lot of lately either.

133. NOT! I'm Goading People To React & Get Some Fire In Their
BELLY! Having tried on numerous occasions to point out that we must stay vigilant and unified by saying it outright, I rarely get much response.

Indications are that Democrats look to win, but I'm sure there are thousands of us here who have some very healthy thoughts about how the other side will play dirty again! We need to be prepared and ready to FIGHT BACK THIS TIME!!

How many times have we seen our leaders Puff Up and then POOF that's all we get?? Over and over I've said, it's "We The People" who will have to do the heavy lifting. I previously admitted that the Habeas Corpus shoot down was pretty much the last straw for me, and it SHOULD be for all of us. But as Jonathan Turley asked "where is the outrage?" THAT was a significant piece of legislation that SHOULD NEVER HAVE happened, but it did! So we wait for Nov. 8 for an indication as to which way the wind will blow.

I say again, PRAY that we SHALL OVERCOME, but they play low ball and they play it dirty! Then it's back to business as usual. THIS TIME we MUST react with FIRE IN OUR BELLY!! THIRTEEN DAYS!
