Actually, I hope someone prepares such a map. Would be interesting to see.

On a related note, just this past weekend I had to explain to a neo-con cousin of mine why that state by state map is irrelevant. He couldn't grasp the fact that no state votes entirely one way or another, and that the only relevant map would be one with shades of purple, down to the precinct level.

Democrats should be red, Republicans blue. Red has traditionally always been the colour of the left, and blue the colour of aristocracy.
