What a pretentious exFReeper has been posting about DU
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 08:49 PM by Ferret Mike
Coral Snake is a pretentious little back biter who has taken on Free Republic, Libertypost.org, and Democratic Underground. The LP portion has been posted in the Liberty Post 'Biker bar' forum where whining and off color pieces are put, so I thought I would let you all enjoy what our James Bond loving Moran posted about here. He also takes aim at Free Republic too, the second hyperlink below will take you to the 'Bites of the week' with all three forum's comments. He posts at different forums the same 'Bites of the Week,' so I couse the posting at Freedom4UM.com.

LP Biker Bar thread: http://www.libertypost.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=163306

Coral Snake's Bites of the Week 29 (The websites that are most helping to screw up America):

http://freedom4um.com/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=37856&Disp=10#C10

We can't leave the ORIGIANL Socialists, the "Liberals" out of the mix of websites that are screwing up America. Especially when their "premere" sites are literally mirror images of FreeRepublic on the other side. Of the two main "liberal" forums DemocraticUnderground comes the closes to that mirror immage in both its botism (albeit on the other side) and its use of gimmics and sex to attract posting members and denigrate bannees. While I will admit that I git the idea for the bites and the graphical "key" for them from DemocraticUnderground's "Ten Dumbest Conservatives" weekly collumn that is generally the only thing good about the site in my book. Basically after that DemocraticUnderground is exactly like FreeRepublic in banning the non ideologically pure and denagarating them with "The Toombstone" in the same way that FreeRepublic uses the ZOTS and Viking Kitties. DemocraticUnderground also runs off donations solicited by SnookerThons using the same "Operant Conditioning" techniques FreeRepublic uses geared toward their "Liberal" bot audience. The main example of this is that their progress bar is in the form of a boxing glove that knocks a picture of Shrubya out when the SnookerThon is successful. (DemocraticUnderground SnookerThons are run the month after FreeRepublic runs theirs. The next one should be in Novemebr for those interested in conferming this bite.

While they appear to give lip service to things like gun and property rights at DemocraticUnderground it is highly probable that ANYONE advocating serious gun or property rights action (like Jury Nullification) at DemocraticUnderground would most probably be banned and "Toombstoned" as a "Conservative". One must always remember the place is an IDEOLOGICALLY PURE "Progressive", "Liberal" site and will allow any genuine constitutionalism on these issues ONLY to preserve a facaude of "debate". They are tyruely such a perfect mirror of FreeRepublic that one should really wonder if JimRob is not running BOTH sites behind the scenes and DemocraticUnderground's Admin Skinner is only a front man. JimRob was a registered DEMOCRAT begore becoming a Bushbot you know.

As a "Progressive" site DemocraticUnderground is FUlly in favor of the following unconstitutional programs and proposals.

1. They generally support "gun control" even though they will allow individual posters to oppose it to create phony "debate".

2. They are for Illegal Immigration.

3. They are for the MARXIST Federal Reserve System and the LEFTIST version of the New World Order or World Government called the "World Community" or "Global Villiage".

4. They are for the MARXIST income tax.

5. They are generally for land and house grabs for "environmental" reasons.

19. Just from a quick gloss of the above and the site I'd say
That I would agree about his complaint of ideological limitations at various sites,it rings true, tight limits at FR,broader here, but they exist. At times these limitations obscure the truth, which is not always spoken by those you'd want to hear.As to the pretension, there seems to be a lot of egotisim in the post and in the quick read of the site.Who cares about that,I don't.It's not about individuals, posters, political individuals, but about issues it sems to me.Funny egotisim.

Great idea! It'll go nicely with that DU mainstay, "Top Ten Conservative Idiots". :P

What site is this moran reading? Tons of DUers support gun rights. Tons more are hardliners on immigration; a few of these make Lou Dobbs look like a mushy moderate. And the Federal Reserve is Marxist?! Whatever else it may be, I can assure you, the Fed is NOT Marxist! :dunce:

If you look at the Freedom4UM.com thread where the entire piece is, I posted to CS to let him know I posted this. Snake? could you explain on the Freedom4UM what the heck the "Top Ten Conservative Idiots" are and where you find them here at DU? ;)

The Top Ten Conservative Idiots collumn can usually be accessed at the DU homepage:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/

Where it is the first item every Sunday night through monday.

It can also be accessed on the right sidebar of the DU home page under the heading:

The Usual Suspects

Here is a more direct link to this week's edition:

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/top10/265

And by the way the reason I attack Doug from Upland so much is that I feel he sleighted the Gun Rights cause and NOT me personally.

That nut job is still around. He has been chased to a really horrible tiny forum run by a hyper Christian religious nut cake, A K A Stone. TLBSHOW is even more insane then he was before, so don't say I didn't warn you:

LAUREL -- "Muslims can convert to Christianity here!" read the sign Monday in front of the Congregational Church on Laurel Road. It was an invitation that the church's pastor, K.C. McCay, admitted he didn't expect anyone to accept. But coming on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, it was bound to stir a response. And it did. "If church leaders are really interested in saving people, they would find much less offensive ways to do it," said Ahmed Bedier, director of the Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "Religious leaders are adding fuel to the fire. It's a shame."

I got in trouble once for suggesting (on LP) that TLBSHOW wasn't really REAL.

I'm glad to see that "it" isn't at any of those forums I used to go to. It's nice to know it's been run to ground in some small, obscure forum. I guess that means even Capitol Grilling won't tolerate him/it.

Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 09:00 PM by madmusic
As a "Progressive" site DemocraticUnderground is FUlly in favor of the following unconstitutional programs and proposals.

1. They generally support "gun control" even though they will allow individual posters to oppose it to create phony "debate".

Wrong, there was a poll and most DUers do not want to ban guns. They do promote responsible gun ownership and think registration and gun safety are common sense, since most people killed by guns are killed in their own homes by family members.

2. They are for Illegal Immigration.

Wrong, but I'm less sure on this one. Do most of us think passports are a good idea? Boarders? Do we think anyone and everyone should be able to enter at any time? What we do think, I think, is that it would be damn near impossible to deport 12 million Mexicans. Personally, I think we are too lax on immigration.

3. They are for the MARXIST Federal Reserve System and the LEFTIST version of the New World Order or World Government called the "World Community" or "Global Villiage".

I don't know what the hell any of that is.

4. They are for the MARXIST income tax.

Is he suggestion banning ALL income tax? What about roads, hospitals, unemployment insurance, police, fire and ambulance safety? Does he think citizens will do all this themselves with their own money out of the goodness of their heart?

5. They are generally for land and house grabs for "environmental" reasons.

Example?

36. On the income tax
For more than half of our nation's existence there was no income tax.

Not saying we should get rid of it, but it's not like we couldn't be a country without one. For well over 100 years we survived very nicely without an income tax.

Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 09:13 PM by bluedogyellowdog
...or that DU isn't far enough left. For some people, their politics are where the extreme right meets the extreme left in the outer reaches of the galaxy - whether you're talking Libertarians, Third Positionists, LaRouchies, Alex Jonesies, or Revolution-for-the-hellofit Anarchist Crazies.

Fortunately for the rest of us, these people are very small in number...

Unfortunately they make a lot of noise...

Fortunately some of them come around, realize that locating oneself on the outer fringes of politics is a dead end, and realize that the Republicans are the main threat to liberty today and the Democratic Party is the best bulwark against totalitarianism that we have going.

Unfortunately many of them never come around, and stay in the outer fringes. It's their loss.

24. I have known Coral Snake since 2003
I first met him when him and I still posted at Liberty Post. I posted this here because he doesn't believe my feedback that he is completely off the wall, and his pieces suck.

I posted this here because DUers can do much much better what LPers, FReepers, or 4UM people can; give him honest, drenched with a bucket of ice water honesty.

Sure, it's cruel, but I see it as a short term cruelty and a long term kindness. He should go to college and get an education, and learn how to TRULY be a critical thinker.

He has been banned at LP, FReeperland and is not much liked elsewhere. He is not a bad person to talk to, but it is a scary and amazing experience.

27. On a purely personal level
He is a nice guy. His Dad died this year and I have sympathy for what he is going through. But he just does not get it that he has allot of things in the formal schooling department he has to learn before he can effectively operate on the level he wishes to.

Maybe it's the meanness in me from being the oldest of six kids, but I don't coddle Coral Snake, I let him have the full bore brunt of my honesty, and I am betting that seeing others give much the same feedback to him I do might help him clean up his act at least in the having a clearer reality check department.

He also does song spoofs, and is horribly angry at FReeper Doug from Upland for slighting him. Doug is currently the lead song spoof guy at FReepland since Mudboy Slim was banned, and CS is horribly jealous of him.
