Are there any CT DUers who support this neocon traitor running
in Connecticut? And, why?

6. So your implication is that anyone who is a registered
Democrat in CT, and votes for lieberman is a DINO does not make sense

Look how long lieberman has been a senator. Perhaps there were other things that Lieberman did for Connecticut that these so-called "DINOS" give him credit for.

I am NOT from Connecticut, but what makes it interesting is that the majority of people in Connecticut are not in favor of the war in Iraq, and still lieberman is ahead in the polls. That indicates, at least for the people in Connecticut, that Iraq isn't the only issue, and unfortunately, that may be the reason Lamont may not be doing as well, because that is his primary issue

19. No, what it indicates is that almost all the republicans in the state
of Connecticut are voting for LIEberman, because the GOP candidate is black.

22. Are you SERIOUS? I had no idea he was black. Would people CARE if
Schlesinger was white and got less than 10% of the vote?? It would be national news if he got those kind of statistics. This tells me that the "socially moderate" suburbanites of Connecticut are among the most racist in the nation -- even more racist than the "socially liberal" suburbanites in Maryland who voted against Kweisi Mfume purely because of his race, leaving us with Cardin.

I am appaled to learn this. It clears something up for me -- for instance, the passive understanding here on DU that OF COURSE Schlesigner is not going to get a lot of votes...

2. I believe Schaefer knows that he's been used as a placeholder and
never was considered a viable candidate by his own party.

I'd like to see him come out and announce he's voting for Lamont.

4. I am not from Connecticut, but perhaps it was the far left
who hurt it for Lamont

For the people of Connecticut there are more issues than just Iraq

7. OK, I will give you an example
The far left is Cynthia McKinney?

You want a far right example, we are living through it

There is no ambiguity about extremism on either side, and frankly the American public is tired of both extremes

get my own share of criticism for what I said

Incidently, just to set the record straight, I have donated several times to Lamont's campaign. I am just trying to look at the issue analytically, but of course labeling is not a good or correct thing, but human nature is human nature, and perception is perception

I didn't call you out, I asked a QUESTION. If you aren't a right winger or closeted republican, why then with the "Far - Left" bullcrap the right wing uses on Dems all the time for failing as a party?

Maybe you just listen to too much right wing crap and are repeating it here....

Far left.... wooooo... sounds scarey...

PS... you are one labeling dems here... not me.

Though I don't owe you any explanation, I have been a LIFELONG DEMOCRAT since 1970, but I am sure you have your own idea who should or shouldn't be a Democrat.

Incidently, I also donated several times to the Lamont campaign

Connecticut has been primarily a Democratic state. In addition, it has been a progressive state. What is your explanation why Ned is doing so badly?

18. Wooooo.... "Emotional"....
I asked a question and finally after all that I get an "EMOTIONAL" response. Well.. I did donate what I could to him too, although I still don't understand your "Far Left" bullshit, so we'll just leave it alone and assume you really don't have a defense for blaming the "Far Left". Just sounds really weird coming from another Progressive/Duer...

"Damn Far Left Libruls.....! It's all their fault." Lol.... Emotional indeed... lol

8. Joes got to go.
I'm from CT and choose not to "stick with Joe." Folks in CT spend a lot of time working to support their family, mortgage, bills, etc and few actually spend time researching the candidates. Many don't care and think that it doesn't really matter who wins- they are all crooks anyways. This frustrates me to know end but I make sure the ones that I know are educated or I send them to the DU website for facts.

The public needs an easy one page fact sheet detailing all the things wrong with Joe and all the things right with Ned. Does this exist???

21. There is a comparison sheet for Ned and Joe
but it's on two pages. It should be shortened and simplified for broader appeal.
