I'm ready to fight. I'm ready to LEARN from history. Great nations, great moments don't happen by chance. They are created by those willing enough to work for them. In 5 years I have learned that it simply isn't enough to pull a lever, punch a card, and then bitch and moan. I've learned it's not enough to ring doorbells in support of a candidate that I may or may not have much faith in. I've learned that by banding together we really CAN make other people sit up and take notice. Come on...it's happening, perhaps too slowly for some, but people are waking up...people are angry. The war in Iraq isn't wholeheartedly supported, even by a lot of Bushbots. I see it as this administration taking a gamble and losing....LOSING Big.
I will be tireless in the fight. I will not pack my bags and leave this country...this place that is equally mine, just as it is yours and every other American's homeland in the true sense of the word. Rome wasn't built in a day...Freedom was not "won" on July 4, 1776...and this challenge isn't going to be easy either. But to walk away from what others have gifted us with through death, and blood and times of trouble, is to wimp out.
Yes, I get depressed...and really angry, but I AM an American citizen. I will fight for my rights...your rights, even the rights of the freepers who have never even bothered to read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence or any other document assuring them of their right to be "false patriots".
You people are patriots (for once "you people" has a nice ring to it). You people are the people that keep me here. I've Got Your Back. Now please watch mine.
We Want Our Country Back...And We're Determined to GET OUR WAY.
