Anybody ever bother to look at the NSA website?

www.nsa.gov

Is it just me, or does the whole enterprise appear to be a big ass work-fare program?

I feel sorry for them. I'll bet a 5 year old could devise a code that those time card and donut geniuses couldn't break in a million years.

6. Fer crying out loud, we are all doomed forever, because
our mind-pulses don't match up with the repugs.
That's all she wrote; we are just .... going...
to ... . fad. awy...

plop

On a better note, I bought this really cool book today, called
'Alas, Babylon', by Pat Frank...

Disclaimer: I haven't read it yet...

5. I thought they were supposed to be so secretive no one
knew anything about them. Imagine them having a website. I'm amazed.

7. This website has pictures of the employees
The NSA is completely bogus. Apparently their purpose is provide "know how" for commercial encryption schemes. My guess is that they do practically nothing for anybody. If the heat gets hot, jr will be forced to admit that no harm was done because the NSA couldn't actually do anything.

8. MY GOD ! Check this out !
<http://www.nsa.gov/coremsgs/corem00003.cfm>

Americans expect NSA to conduct its missions within the law. But given the inherently secret nature of those missions, how can Americans be sure that the Agency does not invade their privacy?

Image: Photo of the Capital BuildingThe 4th Amendment of the Constitution demands it... oversight committees within all three branches of the U.S. government ensure it... and NSA employees, as U.S. citizens, have a vested interest in upholding it. Respecting the law is only a part of gaining Americans' trust.

HAHAHAHAHA !!!

As they fleece the taxpayer out of their hard earned pays while they sit around and do cross word puzzles in "secret".

Honest to god, it's the biggest scam I've seen in years. This whole NSA spy thing is a fraud along the lines of the "Patriot missile shoots down scuds" deal.

12. I would say so, if in fact they really have any capability
to actually do these wiretaps. BTW, if these guys were so smart, why do they need data from google?

11. A General heads the agency
and his "revealing speech" which revealed nothing of course except his frightening emotional state was one of doing what the CIC says. That is his only law and of course the simple faith of trust, and hurt feelings because they are not appreciated.

You could justify any atrocity with the smarmy assurances he was giving but fortunately he is only into the research not the wet work.

15. You're right; it is fraud.
The whole fucking thing is a BIG scam, run by inept ditto-heads. Their main agenda is to spy on political rivals and scare the shit outta Americans.

I feel sorry for the talented ones working there who must know by now for whom they are working. :eyes:

17. German Intel
under Hitler was ruined by this type of administrative abuse and incompetence. All the info flow in the world won't save them. In fact it is too much even for the agencies to function on their own.

The nazis loved their old fashioned spooks and plots and being told what they wanted to hear, because, dammit, they were in charge of reality. The department of economic intelligence presented all the facts that would have avoided disaster in Russia. We know about ignored Intel here too. All the things that would have saved Hitler, he ignored. All the spook stuff was an utter failure leading to Hitler shooting Canaris because he couldn't trust the double dealer.

What the Bush team seems to have learned is to repeat mistakes- and crimes- more diligently up to comic opera proportions.
