The Sandbox - Garry Trudeau provides blog spot for military personnel

Has anyone seen this spot for vets to post their feelings, observations, etc. for military personnel on active duty? The writing in some of these postings are outstanding. Many of them will rip you heart out, you can feel the pride, concern, frustration over their service. I try to check in every day or two to catch up on what these people are saying.

2. I'm reading the last three days postings and it is just amazing.

There is one posting about our forces going in to search a house for weapons, etc. The writer is as conflicted as the rest of us. He knows he has to search, take the husband into custody but feels for the young mother and her children. He knows he is leaving them vulnerable and promises to try and come back and check on them while the husband is locked up.

This stuff is gut-wrenching and riveting. I truly admire their service but hate with a white hot passion the asswipes who put both sides in such terrible circumstances.
