It happened to me, it can happen to you:
I checked to see if I was registered to vote about a week ago by going to my local
Board of Election website, and it showed that I was registered.

I checked it again today, and it now says that I AM NOT registered to vote.

People, CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION STATUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know if this has happened to you.

You know what, what probably happened is that the first fucking idiot who brought you aside couldn't find anything and that frustrated him, so he put out your name on some list of people to be scrutinezed. And every one of them who doesen't find anything gets even more frustrated, it's a viscious cycle.

55. A friend of mine had the same problem...
I e-mailed the local BOE that night and she e-mailed the webmaster; when I woke up the next day ready
to wage a holy jihad on them, she got a reply and relayed it to me...the story was that our local BOE
computer sent a "partial extract" of data to the main NC database.
I'm not a database expert, but I think what happened was the NC BOE was trying to purge us but got caught, and lo and behold, just like magic, we were reinstated to the database that day.
I have used that website to check my registration for years and years, never had a problem, but
on the very day that early voting started, we were all of a sudden not in the voter database.
Coincidence?
Don't know, but as my friend pointed out, at least they know we're watching their every move on this
election.

of my family are registered to vote. In the state of Washington you can go to Wash.state election board online. They list all election questions and will verify registration; got instant answer showing that we are all registered. In Sno.county we now vote by mail; haven't recieved ballot yet;they are required to have those available 18 days before election;I am going to check with our county auditor to see when they will be sent. http://www.secstate.wa.gov/elections/

34. This is why we should push for same day registration in every state
It's ridiculous that the power to prevent anyone from voting on election day can reside in local and state officials who may be incompetent or conniving.

Wisconsin has same day registration. They delete registrations from the voter file and the poll workers have a little more work to do that day. It can slow things down but it can't keep anyone from voting.

50. Got this email today "Wake Up And Smell The Voter PURGE"
Tell The DNC To WAKE UP And Immediately Seek An Injunction To Reverse
The Purge Of Democratic Voters In Ohio

ACTION PAGE: http://www.peaceteam.net/pnum540.php

You had to know this was coming. The further they fall in the polls the
more massive the voter fraud and preemptive vote suppression the other
side will attempt. The key word here is "attempt". We're not supposed
to let them get away with it without a fight. That fight must start
NOW!

Reports are breaking that the pathologically partisan Ohio secretary of
state has been secretly using the master database of voters to
systematically purge hundreds of thousands of likely Democratic voters
from the registered rolls. Their latest version of an old scam is to
put a discriminatory burden on voters in heavily Democratic precincts to
meet a special hurdle of verification of their address, a guilty until
proven innocent routine. And they have been doing this without any
public notice that such a massive operation was underway, and timed in
such a way that voters would have no recourse to re-register.

Never again will we allow such outrages against democracy to go
unchallenged by the fullest force we can bring to bear. Bob Fitrakis,
who has been fighting the election criminals in Ohio for years, has
announced he will file a lawsuit no later than this coming Monday.
Please tell the DNC, and also the Ohio Democratic party (if you are an
Ohio resident), to bring every resource to bear to join in this battle
for the soul of our electoral process

ACTION PAGE: http://www.peaceteam.net/pnum540.php

Please take action NOW, so we can win all victories that are supposed to
be ours.

57. Me Too! (Ohio, of course)
I moved a few months ago and sent in my registration form. About a week ago I decided to check where my new precinct is located because I was never sent a card. According to the Ohio Secretary of State website, I am not registered at either my old or new address. I contacted my county Election Board and they have me listed. They couldn't explain the mistake. I'm expecting to fill-out a provisional ballot just the same.

My concern is how many people won't know to follow-up at the county level. Joe Voter will look up his name, not find it, and simply figure he isn't allowed to vote. The very cynical part of me wonders how many Ds are being 'accidentally' left off the list. :(

58. i flipped out earlier this morning when I first read your post ....
I went to a link only to be informed that I wasn't registered ... despite the fact that I vote in all elections.

I then checked my mothers voter registration status ... again I was told she wasn't registered (my parents are the ones that taught me to vote in ALL elections).

Mercifully I just rechecked (the site must have been down or busy) but it verifies that I (and my mom) are indeed registered to vote.
