"Setting the Record Straight" - Bush Administration responds
I know you're just beside yourself with anticipation.

The Whitehouse will post their spin to the latest headlines under the heading Setting the Record Straight

The Associated Press Claims "President Bush Keeps Revising His Explanation For Why The U.S. Is In Iraq, Moving From Narrow Military Objectives At First To History-Of-Civilization Stakes Now."

Bush Regime spin is:

* President Bush Has Consistently Pointed To Liberating Iraqis From A Brutal Ruler, Including Before The War.

* President Bush Has Consistently Emphasized The Importance Of Spreading Democracy In The Middle East, Including Before The War.

So we see the Bush Regime will downplay their constantly repeated lies about WMD and the threat Saddam Hussein was to America.

The Associated Press Alleges The President Calls Iraq The "Central Front" In The War On Terror For Political Purposes.

Bush Regime spin is:

* The Terrorists Consider Iraq "The Central Battlefield" In The War On Terror.

* As Early As February 1998, Osama Bin Laden Made It Clear That He Not Only Intended To Wage War On The United States, But He Wanted To Use Iraq As A Central Battleground.

So you see, it's not that Bush thinks this - it's that the terrorists think this...and the man they claim no one knew about or had heard of before 2001, was the one who made Iraq the "central front" in the war on terror.

to fight terrorists from other countries...

Ahahahahaha!

More like:
"As Early As February 1997, the NEOCONS Made It Clear That they Not Only Intended To Wage War On The world, But they Wanted To Use Iraq As the first domino"

8. Ever read his speech on why we should invade?
He talks about how much better Iraqi lives will be as soon as we invade and topple Saddam (not)

In fact, making life better for the Iraqis is an afterthought - after all the ways Saddam is evil and has WMD and direct links to Al Quaeda and how at any minute Iraq could attack America

5. The worst thing of all--their response is BORING
It's boring to read, aside from it not being believable, it's simply DULL. All the bolding and underlining in the world can't make that drivel a compelling read. Better than Sominex, that, and cheaper, too!

6. Guess that means no more quoting the deaths Saddam caused
Edited on Sat Oct-14-06 05:35 PM by lyonn
in Iraq, which always includes Iraq/Iran war dead since we are killing, how many Iraqis now? Some say about 665,000, course bush denies the fuzzy math. He is well aware of fuzzy math as he uses it for how well this country is financially.

So, he will quit leaning over the podium, looking smirky and wise to discuss how evil Saddam is/was. Hummmm, and it worked so well for so long. Well, now on to the real reason he wanted war, take-over of the Middle East. That was once called colonialism I believe. Seems Britain tried it once.

Wish he would explain the Muslim take-over in Africa. Show some interest maybe in the Sudan??? Right, haven't found enough oil over there yet.

Edit: They now have T. Snow quoting Osama from "98" to the present giving bush reason for claiming that Iraq was the central location for terrorist (Caliphate?) and that we needed to invade that (Iraq) terrorist country. Well, something like that.....
