And I'm not trying to put down the people of Utah, who live in what is one of the most beautiful states I've ever visited.

When a SLC radio station picked up Ed Schultz's show, they were slammed with hate mail, calls and death threats. Big Eddie's show was quickly dropped. And we're talking Ed Schultz here!

Look I am against the cross over of church and state in matters of judicial judgement, legislation etc... but when the die hard anti religious decide that they are going after ridiculous crap like this and removing the 10 commandments from historical sites then we shoot ourselves in the foot.

On an intellectual level I agree and would love to see the TOTAL removal of church from state, but we have to show the awareness (whether we like it or not) that the VAST majority of America believes in a higher diety that more often than not is Christian in orientation. If we continue to pursue actions that show us as anti-religious, we will continue to not get their support, which we need.

something must have happened where I was directed to a different poll or I was tied into a couple of topics at once (I do it many times) and I responded to the wrong poll. IF I remember correctly it was about removing "in God we Trust" off the dollar and I think that is a ridiculous waste of energy and time.
