William Rivers Pitt writes: "George W. Bush is making some history of his own these days. When all is said and done, he will go into the books as the first American president to lose two wars at the same time."

1. Funny, I read that headline differently
as if WRP was a loser until I saw the link to the article.

Perception is weird.

2. I thought that too
Sometimes you don't know which way the bad blood is flowing. Pitt is very good, though.

5. Me too! Like W.C. Fields story: He was worried about the movie A sucker
born every minute. He thought the the title was so long that theater marquis would say "W.C. Fields, Sucker"

4. Speaking of "The Loser"
Rush Limbaugh in the 80's used the song by the Beatles, as the theme for Micjael Dukakis, I was thinking this song ought to be revived for the GOP and for the Shrub.

10. I was thinking more along the lines of...
He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,

Isn't he a bit like you and me? (Nope!)
Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,

Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Nowhere Man, don't worry,
Take your time, don't hurry,
(Go clear some scrub!)
Leave it all till somebody else
lends you a hand.
("Well, Unca Dick? Who should be my VP?")
(Lead Guitar)
Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command. (except all the parts that hate us now)

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

7. helderheid, you might want to revise your subject line...
It reads funny...and Pitt's article is good but the subject line is going to make some folks think it means something else. :hi:
