Bush Sr. calls Bush Jr.'s War "un-winnable"
To occupy Iraq would instantly shatter our coalition, turning the whole Arab world against us and make a broken tyrant into a latter-day hero ... assigning young soldiers to a fruitless hunt for a securely entrenched dictator and condemning them to fight in what would be an un-winnable urban guerilla war. It could only plunge that part of the world into even greater instability.

- George Bush Snr, in A World Transformed, 1998

What a difference five years makes...

3. Now you know why Poppy was not available to comment on his dimson's
Path to war with Iraq. Which is the same reason why, dimson had to look to a higher father for guidance. Because Poppy thought junior was screwing the pooch by attacking Iraq.

6. Notice how "well" Saddam's trial is proceeding?
Not even the Iraqi judges care enough about his prosecution to show up and go through U.S. protocol.

" When asked “Can we win?” the war on terror, Bush said, “I don’t think you can win it. But I think you can create conditions so that the — those who use terror as a tool are — less acceptable in parts of the world.”

13. 5 years? Try 8 years since 1998
and this was all well known after Gulf War 1

and it is beyond me why Scowcroft, et al didn't have any more say in *'s war.
