2. Scarborough has been surprising fair and realistic lately.
I mean as far as reporting on Republicans. That story about Oprah was still crap.

Anyway, I'm sure he misses real conservatives even more than I do. I never was very offended by real conservatives, but these neo-cons make my head explode!

3. I'm not sure that he has a choice
at this point. He's seeing and smelling the smoke from the flames erupting from these creeps rearends and can't take a chance that the conflagration will spread to his hiney.

4. I have always been offended at how even the "real conservatives"
treat the poor, the elderly and children. They've always been assholes. Always.

11. me, too
never liked any conservatives - neocon, fundy, traditional, etc.

I've compared today's Republics to Goldwater in '64 many times on DU (it's almost trendy to like Golwater now, it seems?)... however, even though Republics of today have gone way further to the right than Goldwater in '64, Goldwater was still way too far to the right for me.

5. Scarborough has been acting like he stopped drinking
kool-aid during Hurricane Katrina.

He still talked like a conservative, but he didn't sound hateful!

6. Scarborough is capable of honest and realistic assessments...
He's usually about 60/40. 60% whore for bushco, 40% honest about their flaws. Remember, this is the guy that did the segment, "Is Bush an Idiot?"

12. even back in 2004...
after the first debate against Kerry, he said something like "I don't know how anybody could say that was not a disaster for Bush" rather than the typical partisan spin.

8. only one thing could save them now--the mushroom cloud
but

a)I don't think the CIA and military would go along with it

and more importantly from the GOP perspective

b)it might not work

There had better be a Plan B in place if the Gross Old Perverts try to steal another election.
