Tim Russert lets the Republican candidates blab endlessly and cuts the Dems short. The Repubs get twice as much or more talking time in these so called "debates" between candidates. The Repubs interrupt oso you can't even hear the Dems when they talk, and Russert does nothing. Please write and complain.

2. I don't thnk Dewine did himself any good with his BS filibustering

He did the "let me finish, can I finish, please won't you let me finish?" (followed by nothing of substance) thing several times. I don't think voters appreciate that tactic any more. It caused me to change the channel.

He looked weak and defensive. He's bad at the work, and despite Russert's favoritism, appeared the lesser candidate.

4. I thought DeWine managed to sound quite moderate

and less of a Kool Aid drinker than most GOP. I kept screaming at the TV for him to shut up. I wanted to hear Brown. Brown had to hurriedly talk through his points. It was ourtrageously unfair. I hadn't seen Brown before and didn't feel I got much of a chance to really hear him. DeWine kept talking over him, interrupting, and hogging the microphone. He made several charges that Brown didn't get a chance to refute.

7. it was not Russert this time, it was Brown

DeWine kept saying "don't interrupt me" when Brown tried to talk but Brown did not do the same thing. Brown let DeWine interrupt and hold the floor. He should told DeWine not to interrupt.

IMHO, it was not Russert giving DeWine more time, it was Brown letting DeWine interrupt and hold the floor the whole time.

Brown's points were well taken but he let DeWine "own" him with DeWine's bad manners.

would give DeWine endless time to rant then tell Sherrod, okay Congressman, you have 30 seconds only to then give DeWine an additional 20 seconds to spew his talking points AGAIN...

No It definitely wasn't Sherrod. - Russert was completely biased in the time he alloted to each.

Mr. Russert,

I have watched MTP since 1966 and even as a child, caught up in the national excitement and pride of Apollo 11, I always looked forward to Sunday mornings and MTP as I did Looney Tunes on Saturday mornings. I was a weird kid.

My issue is this: I have never seen MTP so totally biased as I have during these so-called "debates". Two-thirds of today's "debate" was owned by DeWine and you, Mr. Russert, cut Brown off several times as well as allowing DeWine to also cut him off.

Mr. Russert, MTP has been going downhill with regard to its objectiveness and balance for many years now. Though MTP still produces provocative insights and real news, I watch it more now to discern the spin than to gain any real or fair truths.
