Why were the Republicans protecting a pedophile?
Because they were protecting themselves too.

I predict many more Republicans are going to be submitting their resignations in the coming weeks.

Might be some Republicans changing parties over this fiasco too.

I sure wouldn't want to belong to the party of pedophiles.
