I Seem To Always Be One Thought Away From a Tear
I consider myself a fairly strong person. I do some fairly difficult work with people and families. My personal world is good, for the most part. It is stable. I like that.

I watch a movie - I have to fight tears when I think about what others have had to go through to get justice.

I watch a football game - I have to fight tears because of the incredible emotion I feel for New Orleans and how the people want to fight back.

I am also only one thought away from a smile.

The people I see every day, the good thoughts and wishes they have sent my way, the support, the telling me "you're still doing a great job".

I am one thought away from a smile, and/or a tear.

Fight for personal justice, and personal dignity every day. That's what I see my job as being, and I hope.

disclaimer: not a stream of consciousness. this is a thought, a grouping of words, and an idea.

1. Seriously, you might want to talk to someone.
Sounds like depression to me. Good that you care, but you can't ruin your life over it.

The world will be ending for the rest of your days and the rest of your kid's days, too.

Pace yourself, and take care of yourself. But you should not always be a thought away from a tear.

That is not normal.

4. being open to life
sounds wise, Mosey, not the least bit bent, but a person with real emotions in
this melodramatic world that winds people up in to a tizzy about everyunimportanthing.

10. oh man....my tolerance...
is shot. I don't know why I bother sometimes, but it is posts like yours that share more than 'talking points' that keep me coming back. Life...is so strange sometimes. Just when I get a focus it turns upside down. And yet, always, always...I am perfectly perfect in the state of now. Sometimes I think it's the expectation of resolution...in human nature.

11. I'm in a defensive posting state
currently, so am tending to read posts with a cynical mind, but have to say, I read your response a few times, and appreciate it.

thanks.

13. "I am perfectly perfect in the state of now"
Taoism is the only way to attempt to understand and flow through this world.

That was a Taoist statement if I ever heard one.

15. don't know about tao....
I like to stay ignorant of anything that has a whiff of 'should' to it. Whenever I've attempted to examine Buddhism it's like eating liver...I gag. Must be that Catholic upbringing.
