Check out this beautiful post from Huffpo re: the "Bubba Hubba"
All of you jackal chickenhawks slamming Jack Murtha personally only do so because you don't have the NADS to participate in a debate on what he has to say.

Though slightly off-topic, I am reprinting the following primer re how to respond to swiftboaters and their ilk.

*******
*******

Among the lessons we could learn from the Clinton-Wallace smackdown, the "Bubba Hubba":

1) What's sauce for the goose OUGHT to be sauce for the gander.
***
No entity or person should be allowed to consider themselves fair and balanced unless they ask both sides similar questions, in content and tone.

2) No "Cutting and Running"
***
Politicians from BOTH sides of the aisle need to answer tough questions head-on.

3) "Merits" Badges
***
If Nora, and even Arianna, spent even a tenth as much energy dissecting CHRIS WALLACE as Clinton's responses, that would better serve the Monday morning blogrolling, and the public debate over, as Clinton said, "THE MERITS."

4) Red Rover, Red Rover, Won't You Come Over
****
Clinton has the right idea about Rove. The problem isn't that he plays hardball. It's that the left (and people of integrity) keep whining about his NOT playing SOFTball. Clinton demonstrated that the way to deal with a brush-back pitch is a hard line drive... right back up the middle. (All puns intended.)

5) Accountability
***
Stand up for it.
Demand it.
The first step to CORRECTING a mistake is simply ADMITTING you made one. (If the Pope can back-peddle, why not Bush or Rumsfeld?)
And this goes for the patsy enablers and crooked pocket-liners in Congress too.
Coming to a theater near you this November.

6) If Lying is wrong, it's wrong for LIARS too.
***
And that goes for ABC, Faux, and the Administration.
Per Tom Paine, "All that truth wants is the liberty of appearing."
No truth, no informed consent... no liberty.

7) People distorting the present should not be allowed to rewrite history
***
Clinton was right to bring up BOTH Wallace's implicit acceptance of, and the actuality of, the provable FALSEHOODS in ABC's "Path to 9/11" as TWO wrongs that needed to be corrected before moving ahead with a meaningful dialogue, let alone a simple interview.

Or... we in the "loyal opposition" can keep talking about socks and blowjobs while the nation sinks and the world blows up. And by loyal, I mean to this nation's ideals, not to the naked emperor and his usurpation of them.

Demand the truth, and they'll think it's hell.
