YouTube teams with Cingular, ABC for talent hunt

NEW YORK (Reuters) - YouTube, the popular online video sharing service, is teaming up with major marketing and media partners for a competition to discover the most talented unsigned bands on its site.

The promotion announced on Wednesday, called YouTube Underground, is the latest step by the start-up company to build a mainstream media model around the thousands of videos uploaded by users and viewed more than 100 million times a day.

Bands can submit original videos from October 2 through October 18 and site visitors will vote for their favorites. The finalists will appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" show. Walt Disney Co. owns the ABC network.

Cingular Wireless also has signed on as a major sponsor

They already censored my post of the Princeton Diebold hack. Took it off all their main pages even though it has been viewed almost 50,000 times.

Those bastards at Youtube were always deleting my political videos.
When they closed my account I sent them a very nasty email, I never did get a reply from them.

I use Vidiac for my political videos now.

6. It's still on YouTube - just watched it again.

It's just that there are now numerous duplicates which have the obvious effect of diluting an individual post. Guess the same would happen on google. I'm not sure which list you meant you'd been dropped from. Cheer up. :)

This has got over 9 million hits and doesn't show on most viewed etc.

7. Oh it's ON YouTube - but it is no longer on the "most watched"

and "most discussed" list even though it is one of the most watched and discussed video. It should have made their front page by now but they took it off.

4. Oh no, ok no more YouTube.... Wonder if they will be out of

bus. soon? I'll post to my group not to use them too. Disney is done by my standards.... face it the theme parks suck too. Costs way toooo much and it sucks. You expect this great place... I had more fun at my local theme park than at disney.
