Laura Bush needs an exorcism. Body taken over by Rumsfeld
Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America about the one year anniversary of Katrina:

"Was the federal government slow? Sure, probably. Was every government slow, state and local? Sure. But have they responded in a very, very helpful way? I think they have.

"I think we'll look back on it and we'll see it for what it was: the largest disaster that our country has ever faced and a huge disaster,'' she said. "Could we have done better? Sure, but are we doing what we can now? Absolutely.''

1. Oh, god. If they need a stupid fat cow to carry their water for them,
the Bush Crime Family should stick with Candy Crowley.

2. You respond to a crisis with the govermnent you have...
...not with the government you wish you had. :hurts: :sarcasm:

3. As vacuous as usual
This is the most say-nothing, do-nothing First Lady ever and yet her lack of visibility and apparent lack of work is ignored by the press.
I'll never forget Hillary and Chelsea on the elephants visiting villages with women walking miles and miles from their own homes to just catch a glimpse. I wouldn't walk to my front door and look outside if Laura was standing in my cul-de-sac playing basketball with the neighborhood kiddies.
What a bore.

4. She also reminded everyone for the brazillionth time she was a librarian.
And there was something about reopening schools that sounded extra thoughtless... what was that...

5. Has anyone told her yet that the hurricane was called
"Katrina"? Last year at this time she publically called it "Carina," probably one of the few people who hadn't been paying enough attention to get it right. And, of course, the press gave her a pass just like it did Ma Bush Sr. when she opined on how the poor of New Orleans were better off at the Astrodome in Houston. And, you're right. Sounds like someone at ABC handed her a script written by Rummy.

6. Must be the new strategy. Interview yourself.
