No word on his stance on the Jews.

The operative word here is proactive. John Belushi's demise still scares the crap out of him.

A publicist for Williams released the following statement:

"After 20 years of sobriety, Robin Williams found himself drinking again and has decided to take proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family. He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy during this time. He looks forward to returning to work this fall to support his upcoming film releases."

Robin Williams insists he will take care of the orphaned son of Christopher Reeve and his wife Dana after the teenager's mother died of lung cancer last week. Williams was always close to the star, who passed away in October 2004, as they had studied acting together at the Juilliard school of drama in New York City.
