BREAKING: Robin Williams enters rehab
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 02:04 PM by tgnyc
Not a joke. Apperently has a major drinking problem. No link yet. Just on CNN.

No word on his stance on the Jews.

3. Robin has a history of drug abuse.
I think that was a factor in his first marriage failing.

Hang tough Robin! We love ya!

6. Did you see him on "Inside the Actor's Studio?"
He was just riffing and improvising, and he was hysterical. He is one of my favs, too.

11. It's not a major drinking problem when he's still calling the shots
The operative word here is proactive. John Belushi's demise still scares the crap out of him.

A publicist for Williams released the following statement:

"After 20 years of sobriety, Robin Williams found himself drinking again and has decided to take proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family. He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy during this time. He looks forward to returning to work this fall to support his upcoming film releases."

17. I'm Robin Williams....I 'm a drunk. Today is my birthday, buy me a drink?
This guy never lets you down for a laugh. Take a break, Robin. You've outlived many comedians and earned
the right to indulge.....give up driving and performance when loaded, and enjoy the remainder of life.....
you've earned it! Oh yeah. What's your stance on the Jews?

Robin Williams insists he will take care of the orphaned son of Christopher Reeve and his wife Dana after the teenager's mother died of lung cancer last week. Williams was always close to the star, who passed away in October 2004, as they had studied acting together at the Juilliard school of drama in New York City.

And after Reeve suffered the riding accident which left him paralyzed from the neck down in 1995, the star was quick to assure the family he would never desert them - and he is standing by his vow to care for 13-year-old Will.

21. I think I heard somewhere that John Belushi's death is what
scared him sober ... I don't know if that's real or not ... thought it was on one of those "made-for-TV" movies about Belushi ...
