Why I will NOT buy "Made In China" ever
I try to buy made in USA products anyway. But, it's not always possible. However, after reading/seeing this, I will go without instead of buying anything made in China. This is DISGUSTING.

9. I was stunned that they grabbed dogs on leashes and beat them to death.
That really hurt... I can't even imagine. And paying 63 cents to owners that killed their dogs, first. With that money, they could have fucking immunized the dogs. Unbelievable that China fucking owns us...

4. I try to always buy American but it's really hard.
So much is made in China and elsewhere it's tough to find American made products. As far as the dogs, I'm sure they could have went about that another way. Tearing them away from their owners and beating them to death is just fucking sick.

5. People will react more strongly to this story
than any number of stories about air pollution in the cities, rivers filled with computer parts, forced abortions, company-store type labor, prison labor, political prisoners, or any other number of Chinese basic decency violations.

I don't know whether that's civilized progress or not.

25. So I'm guessing you already boycott Chinese goods? Then you should be glad
If someone hasn't already boycotted them for the reasons you mentioned (although you'll see in my OP I reference that I already do try to buy American), whether this is the straw that breaks the camel's back on a boycott or this is the only reason they decide not to buy Chinese goods, isn't the outcome the same? Haven't you then reached your goal (highlighting the indecencies of the Chinese govt)? Why complain?

26. Yes, as much as is possible
I do. And if people boycott Chinese products to save the puppies, well that's great to bring attention to the overall conditions in China. But for people who remained in ignorant bliss when humans suffered only to rise to outrage over the doggies, well, I just don't think much of that. Not that I think that's true of everybody, but there are those who have admitted they care more about animals than people. I think it's a way to validate ones "goodness" without having to deal with the complexities of human trauma, kind of like the save the blastocyst people do. But in the end, whatever works I guess.

8. I was thinking the SAME thing!!!
I already eschew the big box stores full of imported crap. You know, honestly, we all don't need all that crap we buy day after day. You watch people now shopping as a hobby.. filling their houses with shit from China. I'm done with it. I will knit my own stuff, sew my own stuff with fabric that is not imported. And pay a bit more for things not made in China, and buy less of them.

It's DISGUSTING that American politicians and corporations increasingly tie our future to the likes of CHINA..

And I promised myself I wouldn't say the F word anymore. I can't believe this. The brutality is devastating and it won't even fix the problem.

Of course, there's always those items that aren't marked and you never know where they come from.

20. I'm dealing with what's happening today.
I'm not excusing anything that happened in the past, but a boycott has no effect on that. The comparison is weak.

19. So right! I try not to either
avoiding all the big-box stores will help. But I went to LL Bean recently and all their camping stuff was also made in China.

24. Who doesn't use prisoners to work on manufacturing?
Here, they do a lot of the road work too.

No, having to work while you're in prison doesn't bother me.

(Being abused or tortured does, but that's not what you asked.)
