uh.. Condi playing the piano PICTURE please add comments or explanations

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice plays piano at the Gala Dinner of the 39th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday, July 27, 2006. Amid an intensifying clamor for an end to Israeli-Hezbollah fighting, Rice said Thursday she was 'willing and ready' to return to the Mideast to work on a cease-fire. 2. is she READING the music?!
she looks furious and mechanical. i've never seen that look on a virtuoso pianist's face before. looks like someone complimented her once and she took it seriously?

19. You've never seen her play piano?
She's like a robot. She's just awful.

There is a video of yesterday's 'performance'. I can't find a working link at the moment but it's a must see and hear. Even the piano was a disaster covered in fingerprints and probably out of tune, though it just could have been her playing.

33. She's sight-reading -- hasn't practiced much.
That's my guess. That said, she's pretty good at sight-reading, but if you listen to the video you'll find she puts no emotion into her playing at all -- it's like a chore for her rather than artistic expression. Well... I guess that's a good thing... she is Secretary of State, after all...

7. go with what you know
Yeah, definitely gonna be alotta captions for this one. To paraphrase the Righteous Bros, I know the international diplomatic corps got a helluva band.

Condi should do a "dueling pianos" duet with Israel's Sec. of State to iron out this whole let's-not-be-too-hasty-to-stop-the-war-criminal-slaughter-of innocent-children scenario that is obviously going to be the magic solution to all this ME carnage. But, like any good recipe, we better not leave this cake out in the rain, because we'll never have this recipe again.

To paraphrase Orson Welles; We will stop no senseless slaughter of innocents caught in the crossfire of bombs before it's time.

21. If she displayed that same kind of intensity at the peace talks.....
perhaps she could become effective. Obviously, her piano is her passion and she's let the foreign lands she visits know, in advance, thus the piano recitals.

31. Everytime I see a pic of her
I think of her cousin, Constance (civil rights attorney), and see the difference in attitude written all over their faces. Condoleeza's face is twisted with the evil that lives in her soul and Constance's face has the beauty and light of someone who really cares.
