Why didn't "The Keating Five" Scandal hurt McCain?
after all it forced his collegue at the time, Dennis De Concinni not to seek another term. Or was he not as involved as some? I guess John Glenn was also one of the "Keating Five" but it didn't affect him either--in any lasting way.

2. McCain relies on his 'prisoner of war' situtation to ensure that
he's not held to the same standards as everyone else.
