Dubba Holds One -Year Celebration of the Energy Bill

One year aho today. Congress finalized the Energy Policy Act of 2005,which laveished $14.5 billion in tax breaks on energy firms, nearly 60 percent went to oil,natural gas,coal,electric utilities and nuclear power.

One year ago we were paying about $2.14 now we are paying a little over $3.00. This Country is no closer to ending its addiction to oil, and the fuel economy standards are stuck at 27.5 mile per gallon (its been there for 20 years) As we are hearing the oil companies will record a second- quater
profits of more than $30 billion.

Most Americans will not celebrate we are not from the oil companies.

Second reason for this post is there is someone who profit off this deal (J.Dennis Hastert) you can read about that at John Laesch blog. He is a navy vet running against Hastert.

tie all repub candidates into the bush oil/energy policy, specifically mentioning all the subsidies and WELFARE to oil companies etc.
