MILITARY ANTIWAR TOONS from Vietnam War
A little known piece of Vietnam War history is that the troops themselves increasing resisted the war and even ran anti-war underground newspapers. Here's some of the toons by active duty military at that time from the documentary, Sir, No Sir's cartoon archive.

See more at the Sir, No Sir's cartoon archive.

6. KnR. Our troops are not stupid, their masters only think they are
I packed away so many feelings during the Vietnam War; I surprised myself by weeping uncontrollably when I visited the Wall.

Never forget, America, that every military man and woman has a family somewhere praying desperately s/he will come home safely. Never forget that they can be subjected to propaganda 24/7 about the nobility of "their" war, but if the war is wrong, after awhile the truth will dawn on them because they are not stupid.

But we are, if we are complicit by our silence.

Support the troops. Bring them home now.

Hekate

12.  "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it"
a tired old phrase, but sadly very true.

13. In America, we are like a professor who writes on board with
one hand and erases with the other.

Our history consists of World War II, the Civil War, and everything else is awfully fuzzy if it exists at all.
