11. Ironically, there is no war. It's a military venture by Israel with

the purpose of crushing Lebanon and Palestine as political states. Wars have two more or less equal sets of militaries, with mutual risks. While the IDF wipes out Palestine and Lebanon, Lebanon doesn't even have a combat force of any consequence and the Hezbollah is pooping their large firecrackers into towns in Northern Israel. (Yes, there have been some Israeli casualties, but, Israels' infrastructure hasn't been touched.)

I believe that if Israel had wanted to shut down the bottle rockets, they could have done so the first day or so. Technology is definitely at their disposal that would pinpoint the rocket origins within feet. They want the rockets to continue to justify their campaign of destruction.

And as for the Hezbollah, I don't have the foggiest notion of what they think they can accomplish with next to zero in military capabilities. They are not going to even slow Israel down by killing a couple dozen citizens or kidnapping a few soldiers. In the big picture, those are at best only token gestures of defiance. Perhaps the Hez believe that they can draw Syria and Iran into the military fray. That's not going to happen.
