You want to kill us...we just want you to go away...
The difference between Conservatives and Liberals? Here it is in a nutshell. The worst of you (not naming any names, but it rhymes with Span Holter) calls for the KILLING of liberals, and the destruction of those organizations brave enough to espouse a viewpoint other than that of conservatism.

She thinks we deserves to die. Or says she does.

Others just want to throw us in prison. For holding a different viewpoint from their own. Is that the America YOU want to live in?

Some conservatives consider Michael Moore the worst among the liberals. For making a movie espousing a different point of view. Did he suggest we should kill ANYONE? No. He suggests INVESTIGATING what may be termed Gross Incompetence, if nothing else.

The worst thing certain writers have suggested should be done to conservatives is to send them somewhere else. Anywhere else. Bon Voyage!

If you can't see the contrast here, and what's wrong with the whole picture, you're beyond saving.

Please exit the country immediately. There's a few conservative religious governments in the Middle East that would love your drive and determination to kill those who don't agree with you. If calling for the death of heretics (or infidels) is something that appeals to you--you have more in common with the terrorists than WE ever will.

sincerely,

with a sincere one fingered salute,

your neighbor and family member,

the Liberal American.

5. Liberalism trumps outdated,-culture of fear conservatism(washed Up)
AMerica, since the early 70's has seen the wealth get more concentrated in fewer hands. The tainted ideology has culiminated in the immoral Bush regime. Lies about War, Spying on it's citizens, massive deficits, a defense industry run amok, and ignoring legal treaties.

For the most part, conservatives talk shit and have many thinktanks, media genuflectors, and other means to grab the attention of most Americans. They rely on a culture of fear, disdain and a puerile anger to keep the momentum going and will do anything to avoid a discussion based on context, nuance, and complexity

Anne Coulter was crushed in debate in the CBC-Fifth Estate and was exposed for her ignorance on the WAr in Vietnam---the silly douchebag actually thought Canada helped in that American crime!

Don't worry we are serving the Empire in NATO and Afghanastan

To avoid being exposed for the shallow philosophy it is Conservatives will sieze the moral highground and grandstand

FDR- was 3 times the man and leader that the senile old actor Reagan was-----Yo Yanks--your Quasi fascist state and servile media are a joke

6. True enough...
Vicious anger, hate, intolerance and violence are at the very core of the hearts of the "conservatives". Apparently, at least in most cases, if they happen to claim to be Christian... they take on this religious veil as a shield (camoflage?) or perhaps they do feel some small guilt or recognize the evil in their hearts and have at least made this tiny gesture (affirming belief in Jesus) as a desperate attempt to reign in the evil in their hearts (and it may have worked to some degree--at least before Politics was intentionally infused into their Churches). Alas, in any case, there can be no doubt... Their's is plainly an aggressive, single-minded, never satisfied until their 'enemies' are dead (and the more violently their end, the better) kind of ideology.

While ours is much more peaceful, gentle, easy-going--and this is to our serious disadvantage. Indeed, even among the growing number of politically angry/distressed among us, the biggest expression is frustration. Many of us are feeling great emotion, but we simply won't devolve into the violent, driven (maniacal) kind of storm troopers the other side has become. Worse than the fact that our peaceful, democratic, consensus-seeking natures leave us at a disadvantage in many ways, is the fact that when faced with such enormous levels of ugliness and irrationality we're currently faced with, our own anger and frustration are mostly controlled, suppressed and internalized. Responding that way, in many cases just results in our suffering the effects of stress and harms our health.

Thus it has always been. Throughout history there has always existed a struggle between Good and Bad (one is tempted to use the word 'Evil'; it fits well enough--but we don't need the religious connotations--and Christianity has nothing to do with it). It's the same now, Good versus Bad--though it's sometimes not easy to tell which is which since those acting for the Bad side rely heavily on lies, advertising/image consultants, and false speech. Indeed, we even call "them" by the word "conservative" when the correct meaning of the word, as well as the original political meaning, wasn't such that it meant or identified the Bad. We should call them by something that honesly and openly identifies their ugly, hateful, deceptive natures, beliefs/ideology. Though, admittedly, it would sound a little silly to say something like "the Democrats today were further oppressed by the Forces of Darkness", but to call them "Conservatives" is too kind and misleading.

If any Democrat or liberal-minded person exists that hasn't by now realized the absolute totaltiarian, all or nothing, kill the enemy, all out war that the 'forces of evil', otherwise known as Republicans, Conservatives, Religious Right, Right-Wing--we need to make sure they realize the urgency and nature of politics today. We are finally, after many years, going to have to fight for our freedoms and for what's good in the world, or it's all going to be destroyed. Once upon a time, mankind numbered less than a couple of thousand million people and they were technologically backward. At such times, there was nothing human-kind could do that would literally destroy the Earth. Alas, at more than six and a half billion, nuclear capable, combustion engine equipped, technologically relatively advanced, humans really can destroy the Earth--at least strip it free of most forms of life--including, especially, themselves. At this critical point in history, the reckless type of humans have taken total power in the most powerful nation on earth. If we don't dethrone them and energetically pursue doing the right things, everything is going to change so much for the worse--we won't be able to recognize it. Darfur will seem commonplace--perhaps even like a paradise.

It's our turn to fight for what's right (explicitly without reference to "The Right"). Our turn, given the world's population and the strain on our very planet, may well be the most important battle in history. We either win or everyone loses.

I'm OK with having to deal with conservatives as long as their policies aren't causing innocent people to suffer.

19. But that's what separates us from them.
It's also the basis for our disagreement with them on issues of torture, etc. The Republicans say "But they're beheading our people!" Our retort: "So why should we become the same as them?"

I much prefer to turn the other cheek, but then again, I'm just a bleeding-heart liberal :--D

They don't WANT peaceful coexistence, and our belief in it just empowers them. We've tried being nice to them...see where it's gotten us?

Ever been to an anti war meet up on a public corner? Then you have noticed that the conservatives/republicans/rednecks respond with the finger or cuss words. Last one I attended we all would say "peace" or "we love you" to them for our response. Of course I live in Florida and in a county where there is a 53% drop out rate at the local high school. Boy that "No Child Left Behind" thing really works ...huh. So go figure why we are a nation of morons with a moron for our leader.

24. I think this should be preserved and put on display:
The guy is a liar and is in it only for the money. He makes things up and always takes things out of content for his movies to prove his point. And that is a fact

Notice the absence of a few important things? a) Facts to back up his assertions, b) a point germaine to the OP, c) proper punctuation, and d) the sense of irony needed to grasp that this post just proved Mythsaje's point.

Keep it up, freepers! You're doing such a good job parodying yourselves it's hard to keep up, and believe me, the voters are starting to notice. November should be a cakewalk for our team. :patriot:

You must base your non-fiction on scenarios that have SOME basis in fact, some connection, however tentative, to reality.

Otherwise, you would have been offered a job with this Administration by now!

You are describing absolutist, which seems to be the way both parties are heading.

If you want to see the main difference between Republicans and Democrats you are going to have to leave the blogs and go and talk to Republicans in a respectful manner to see what the true differences are. You may be surprised.

...in case that wasn't clear.

IF the idea of killing or imprisoning people for having a different point of view is part of their mental makeup, they're NOT people we can share a country with, and have more in common with the terrorists than US.

I don't think this is difficult to grasp.

Why not go over there and help build statues to Lord God Bush.
